That’s a great comparison! And I agree with you. Visuals are important. If someone cannot act, they should at least be attractive. If the plot is terrible, the leads should at least be good looking 😁 Sometimes I would keep watching a show only because I want to enjoy the eye candy - haha!

I’m keeping up with the episodes but I know what you mean. The south prince is annoying and pointless. The plot is nothing new in terms of the palace politics. I’m watching for the lead couple since they are cute together!

Fun show! I like the humor but wish they didn’t include the South Prince for comic relief. He’s not interesting or funny.
Leads are an attractive pair. The FL is gorgeous!

Ep 4 was hilarious but what an ending! The show is keeping us on the edge. All the leads are acting so well, and I love the female lead character. The assistant to prosecutor Gye was so funny with his over-the-top reactions 😂

Agree! This is my top favorite period drama so far

I love how we get to watch the build up of our leads’ relationship, how they truly evolve from almost enemies to now lovers (even if all we saw was just a candle). There’s no official moment of when they got together, even XH’s two liner confession was more of an acknowledgement of how they just were. ❤️

This scheme of JL is a bit much, uncomfortable but it makes for a good revenge story without the usual tropes.
JL may not have achieved her goal but karma is certainly getting Wanning back.

This plot or novel is written well, wrapping up another loose end in ep 35 with more reveal of Wanning’s background. Making her more dimensional.

Another reminder why I don’t usually watch short length dramas. I watched mainly because of the ML but there was just little depth and character development. The ending was just so blah…unnecessarily so. Could have given us a proper closure
