Usual plot but is an entertaining show overall. Smart ML who improved his EQ because of the FL. Plucky FL who increased her confidence because of the ML. Healthy relationship between the leads and the couple remained strong throughout the series.
Miles Wei was great as usual, but I wish he would try a different role. He's pretty much typecast at this point. Xu Lu is getting there.
Some of the antagonists were not punished. One had a redemption arc while the others just moved on...I guess the moral of the story is that it is best to enjoy love and life, move on and not be weighed down by emotional baggage inflicted by others..lol
Would recommend it as a filler show - it is fun, the romance is cute and the ML is definitely a green flag!
More like the FL needs time to think about the future with the ML since they will always be under public scrutiny...No break up though, she was just hesitant
I just complete ep 1 and I’m intrigued but Fern’s acting is just terrible. She was fine in the Love Proposal but I don’t know what happened here - stiff and lots of overacting. Maybe it’s the director or maybe she was trying to portray a character who was forced into doing something. Regardless, I hope it gets better.
Thank you, show for not having the usual “drunken night” trope - fortunately we have a no nonsense smart ML! Bye, SFL I hope that after the next episode, she’s truly out of the picture! Eps 21 and 22 were mood booster and I like how the show portrayed the ups and downs of Ba- Er so well…they went through rough patches but they still managed to triumph where it mattered.
TBF Long Zhi with all her scheming and long game planning was good, but the ending was flat. The moment LiuXi…
You’re right, the scheming and playing the long game was done well but like you said, it all fell apart quickly and rather weakly. It would be good if they showed more of what Long Zhi was expecting. I also wanted a stronger reason why she was so against Qing Zhi other than just competition about who was better
Very typical lakorn with overly dramatic story, exaggerated background music, drawn-out suspense and overuse of the noble idiocy trope. However I enjoyed it, mainly because of Pong and Sammy. Their acting was excellent and their chemistry was amazing. Their visuals were so attractive that I’m happy just seeing them onscreen. My major complaint is the actress playing the mother. She was terrible! For a character who appeared so often, they should gotten someone who can at least act. I would recommend people to give it a try and decide for themselves if it is worth it!
What I like Intriguing and engaging plot Tight story with few plot holes Comedy was on point Amazing romance (and proper kisses) Great chemistry between the leads and among the cast Excellent acting by most especially NiNi and Bai Yu Good OST Likable and easy to root for the main group of “protagonists” including the two roosters An ending that makes sense (within the realm of the story)
What I don’t like so much Unimpressive villains and the motivation for the main one was kind of weak Iffy acting from Meng Zi Yi Unnecessary narrator and side character (felt like the show was promoting the actress)
Watched all 4 episodes for this week and i just want Qung Zhi to wipe the smugness off Long Zhi’s face! That girl plays dirty and that’s the only way she can get her way.
Nan Chu, oh Nan Chu - that girl can flirt! Good for her for making the first move…seems like our firefighters are just too shy 😆 Even Dr Xia was the one taking the initiative!
I enjoyed the drama, too. I have always loved MW's drama. He's very much at home in modern dramas and being the…
You know, I've only seen him in Word of Honor. I should give his other historical dramas a try. I know what you mean - it's hard to imagine him playing the villain - he has a noble look ;D
Eps 15 & 16 were so sweet and fluffy that I had to rewatch the scenes with our couple...awesome skinship lol Miles Wei just looks so good from certain (many angles) 😍
Luckily, things got resolved quickly for our leads and no prolonged misunderstandings between them. So far I am really enjoying this lakorn!
Nadech and Kimmy showed off their skills in ep 11 - tackling the playful fluffy scenes well and then doing a 180-degree turn to great acting in heavier, more emotional scenes 👏
