One conclusion from this drama - Respect above all. No matter how much a person loves you, if they constantly insult you, look down on you, and accuse you of things you never did, then that love is nothing more than a curse in your life.And the sad part is that, in real life, people rarely change. Real life is not a fairy tale. In dramas and movies, people can have happy endings, but in real life, no matter how hard you try, you can never change another person. Their ego will never let them change.Sometimes, you have to accept that love alone is not enough. Without respect, trust, and understanding, love can become a burden rather than a blessing.
The story is nothing new. You can find the same plot in almost any vertical or short C-drama. The only major advantage this drama has is its leads. Personally, I like Jing Bo Ran’s acting way more than Sun Qian’s. He really did a wonderful job, especially in the emotional scenes.
I also wish they had given more screen time to the other characters, especially Sun Yu and Sun Yuan Zhu. They were such amazing characters, and honestly, I liked them more than the main leads.
And I absolutely hate that my favourite character, Lumi, didn’t get a proper story/arc with Will. That felt so unfair! Maybe it happened because the drama was cut from 32 episodes to 24, and a lot of their storyline ended up being removed.
I just hope someday they make a drama with Lumi and Will as the leads. They deserve their own story! ❤️
Flora is not a red flag at all. They both have their own faults.
We need to understand that she was a fresh graduate, and girls at that age can be sensitive. She did grow and mature over time, but he kept saying hurtful things to her. I mean, you can be honest with someone without being disrespectful.
I totally understand why she never told him things because he never consoled her properly. Even her roommates and Lumi were way better at comforting her.
But I do feel like she should have confronted him about how she felt. He definitely would have tried to understand her.
I noticed one more thing: she kept saying, “I miss you,” but he never reciprocated. Is it really that difficult for him to be a little more emotionally invested?
Overall, they both made mistakes. They would get angry, stop talking for a few days, and then get back together as if nothing had happened, only for the same cycle to continue. There was no proper communication, and neither of them really called each other out on their behaviour.

I’m pretty sure Luke deserves a woman who is emotionally strong, has high self-esteem, and is an equal match for him in terms of family and career.
And Flora deserves someone who is soft-spoken and understands her unspoken words and problems. She went through a lot but still managed to stand tall. Luke could never understand that because he has a lower EQ.
This is a drama where the leads have to end up together. If this were real life, they would probably never have gotten back together.

Could be the reason, but it all feels too magical to me. They do love each other, but I feel some people are better off without each other. Their lives could be a lot better.
Can a sorry really fix everything—the suffering someone went through for years? And can someone really change like this? He realised all his mistakes after she left, but what if she had never left? Would he have ever realised his mistakes? She also kept forgiving him. Not being able to communicate once is understandable, but why does it always have to be this way?
Every time, they misunderstand each other. He says nasty things, then comes back and says sorry, and she forgives him.
The ending still has no proper communication between them. They get back together because that’s what was supposed to happen.
And what is the guarantee that he won’t behave like that again, that she won’t misunderstand his words again, or that they won’t have a lack of communication again?

Damn true , I have also watched many dramas but none can top this one. Literally the best c-drama so far. So hard to move on from this one , it just feels like rewatching it again and again.
What a brilliant story and acting ! Sang yan is literally the best boyfriend , love it that he was always there for wen yi fan and helped her overcome her past trauma and wen yi fan deserve all the happiness in her life it was so heartbreaking to see her suffer so much but it was good to see that they got back together and her suffering finally come to an end. Till now this is literally the bestest drama i 've ever watched no chinese drama can come close to this one in terms of story and it's realistic acting. It's so difficult to move on from this drama. Guys how are able to move on ? Are you watching a new drama or rewatching this masterpiece again ?
