You read that scene wrong. It's not the thought of her dying that made him happy, it's the fact that he'll be free of her family if that were the case. She actually didn't let them treat him like shit as we saw on multiple occasions where she defended him. The problem is she always does it being him and he has no idea she still cares about him. They both have faults because there's no more communication between them..

I feel like this should be the answer to everyone here who decides to partake in "teaming" against one side or the other of the leads. Hell, the whole premise of the show is about them "being together against all odds".. :)

There's no way this will haven an open ending. It literally says that it's about the miraculous, thrilling, and humorous love story of this married couple, who manage to survive a crisis and STAY TOGETHER AGAINST ALL ODDS.

Well, there's only 2 episodes out yet. You can't have all the drama so fast. They're probably gonna show how they got to this point in the next episodes.. :)

I feel like the trauma she has from her childhood will be just as impactful..

I feel like it's not as important to like or dislike either of them in the first 2 episodes but to UNDERSTAND them and see where they're coming from and how they got to this point where they're so resentful and broken. Liking them will probably come in the coming episodes when they start falling for each other again..

The drama is INTENTIONALLY starting this way. If you can't get past that, then it's just not for you..

It's a losing battle. Some people get attached to the characters fast, pick a side and take everything too literally without understanding the nuances of the different genres in this drama.
Like, "he wants her dead, he's the worst", the end. :)

No, people are just reacting to some trying to make DH an angel without faults and JH the grim reaper when they all have their own shortcomings, which is ok. We obviously know who the real villains are, their siblings and that annoying reporter..

There you have it, you find the ML annoying, that's why you don't see the chemistry.. :)

Yeah, imagine the ML respecting her marriage with his brother. Them successfully fooling everyone, running their 3 year contract without a hitch, then everyone goes their own way etc.
