While I agree with you, I still think he's gonna take advantage of the fact that the FL will have periods where she's gonna lose her memory and be all confused and use that to drive a wedge between the leads. In my opinion, he's either the main antagonist or working for the main antagonist. I can smell shady business every time I look at him..

It is. I'm actually so over one of the leads having to die. You can make an ending impactful without that trope. I would be far more impressed if they can explain a way for them to fix their marriage and her getting cured in a comprehensive and meaningful way at the end..
