This is so poorly written it hurts

I was excited to watch this because I love the cast, and I love the pairings… but oh my god, the writing of this show is so bad every time an episode would end it left me baffled.

They spend the whole episode stretching out the unnecessary stuff and leave any conflict resolution to the last 2 minutes of the episode. When there is one, because there were instances where I felt like I was completely left hanging.

Also was that wig on Mek?? What did they do to him??

I don’t know what else to say, I just hope to see those actors be given better roles again in the future.

Very disappointed.

This hits different

This is not quite like some other dramas I’ve seen. While I personally didn’t care at all or got annoyed by the side stories (specially Qiqi’s) the overall story is very intriguing because in a way it just feels too real. As in a legit slice of life with both its up and downs. You can see different people with different personalities that go through different struggles and make their own share of bad decisions and I can appreciate that. I also wanted to point out that the acting of the main couple is just phenomenal.

Wow.... Just wow

Best BL I’ve ever watched. Until I started this I had TharnType and Why R U as my favorite BLs, but this tops them by far. The story is so emotional and the acting is amazing. Usually when I watch a drama I tend to focus too much on the acting aspect of it, thinking about how awkward some scenes must have been to film, or what it would have been like on set. But with this drama I’m just 100% immersed in the story as if it was all real. This makes you feel so many things, and you’re guaranteed to cry if you watch it, but don’t let that throw you off. This is absolutely a must watch!

Sigh

Ok, so here's the thing... when I first started this I wasn't too sure how I was gonna feel about it, though I will admit as it went on, towards the middle, I became fairly invested in it trying to figure out who actually killed who and whatnot. Now a few takeaways from this...

-Idk if it was the character or the actress but I really didn't vibe with this FL. She was just straight up getting on my nerves at some point and even her face would annoy me. I haven't seen any other work of hers though, so I can't say for sure what's the cause of it.

-Second female character also annoyed me A LOT. The fact that Joon even liked her blows my mind... I wish she had disappeared from the show right at the beginning, tbh.

-This was my first time suffering from second male lead syndrome. It's not that he was the best character or anything, but compared to everyone else he was by far the most likeable (and good looking). Having Ha Ram reject him was I guess understandable but disappointing.

-My biggest issue with this story.... THE ENDING. Honestly they could have wrapped it all up by the time they figured out the reporter guy was the killer. Why make it so he can't stay in prison? Why have the whole thing surrounding Joon's death and whatnot? They could have wrapped it up much more neatly with less twists and less episodes. And don't even get me started on the final episode with her forgetting about Joon, her life restarting, and the scenes of her being old... The ending was honestly the worst out of all options they had. If she had died it would have been better, if Black had stayed as human it would have been better, if she had chosen SML it would have been better.... ANYTHING would have been better than the actual ending they chose. Overall, it turned out to be quite the disappointment, though thanks to the middle bit I can still say this is definitely not the worst drama I have seen so far....

Longer than it needed to be

Honestly, overall this is a good drama, but it definitely felt like it dragged on more than it needed. I did end up finding myself skipping some parts forward, specially because there were some characters I just couldn't stand. One of my favorite things about the drama is actually the OST. There were some characters that made the show more entertaining as well, but there are still a few points that drag the story down other than its length. One of them is the sick "love" relationship, both on Runyu's part and the main characters. Their obsession with each other was just tiring and at some point became straight up annoying. Another kinda bad thing is the awkward acting of some of the characters, but honestly you can look past that. Overall I would go back and watch some parts again for sure. Would only recommend it if you have a lot of free time to spare.

The side couples, tho

Ok so, if you’re like me you’ll quickly get annoyed by the main couple. Bohn is too much, gets overly jealous over nothing, Duen is cute but him being in a relationship with Bohn feels a bit too forced. HOWEVER, this drama has 3 great side couples that honestly deserve much more screen time than they got. I was much more invested in them than the main couple, and actually fully enjoyed their scenes.

Bonus note: This drama has one of the best looking BL cast I’ve seen so far, like???? Where have they been this whole time???? I’d say Bohn is probably the least appealing one but even then he’s still quite decent

One Word: VISUALS

Edit: I finished this a while ago and my thoughts remain the same!

Ok, so I’m actually still in the beginning of this drama as I have watched only about 1/4 of it, but I already have some thoughts that I figured would be worth sharing.
•So far this is definitely ranking up pretty high on my drama list. Love the concept, love the acting, love the graphics. Don’t have any complaints!
•I read some ppl were saying Yang Yang doesn’t fit his role here or that he’s the same as in Love 020 and I’m just like excuse me??? This feels like a whole new and fun side to him that only makes me love him even more!
•Lastly... omg the visuals! Everything and everyone is such an eye candy! From the graphics to the actors I am in awe during every episode I’ve seen so far!
