Good Logic!

The logic is logic-ing. 100% recommend.

So first off, this was very unexpected. I found this series randomly and started to watch the first ep with completely no knowledge of what to expect. I soon realized that the general plot was very similar to a well beloved series that I had recently completed and was intrigued. Right from the start this series really had me grasping for more. It had everything going for it. From comedy to romance and fluff to politics and power struggle. Heck even had a little bit of the sherlock holmes vibes (minimally) where they would do investigations. This was what I was looking for when I was watching the other series. I don't want to name names but when I was watching the other series, while I understood that it was a comedy and supposed to parody other more serious shows, I felt like it really lacked the depth and seriousness that was NEEDED for certain scenes. Often times as I was watching, I felt like it was always rudely interrupted by something comedic to lighten up the mood. While it wasn't terrible and I understood what it was going for, I felt like a better series would be able to handle the more dark things without ruining the overall vibe of the show. And this series did it for me. Everything was just as I wanted it to go. All the main cast were likable in their own way and characters were well developed. There was no unnecessary drama and things that would've been annoying was quickly resolved. Whenever a character did something that we as the viewer would deem stupid, there was still a sense of logic to it if viewed from their POV. What I really liked about this series was they really used logic when they wrote their characters and scenes. Sometimes I would catch myself thinking, 'oof they're gonna pull that trope huh' and then they would use logic that no other series would use to disengage it. Of course by saying no other series, I don't mean that it was necessarily never done before but they just applied logic to the series many times where you would think they would start to drop the logic. The series manage to carry the plot all the way through to the very end. Of course I still have my own opinion on how I wish it had ended but it definitely was not bad and the did not drop the ball, not even once. FL is likeable and ML is a green flag. I've never watch either actor's other series but for sure will be seeking out more. I felt like the set was really beautiful and while at times it seemed they lack extras to make the scenes more full, it was still really well done and deserves praise. Makeup for for the ML at first was a bit over filtered (or at least it seemed like they used too much contour makeup on him) but I think they really toned down on it and overall I enjoyed the makeup and outfits as well. I also appreciate that though they had few costumes per cast, it was nice that they were shown to change and switch attire and not just wear the same things over and over for a prolong amount of time. Some outfit were cuter than others but at least with the change of outfit it also felt more genuine that they were people who actually lived their lives and even shows the passage of time. Music was well placed and felt like were very impactful when necessary. I'm an analyzer when it comes to watching things and while I did figure out some things along the way, I was still shocked towards the end. Anyways, this is not a well written review but I just wanted to put it out there that this series is worth the watch. If anyone ever stumbles across this series, do not hesitate to watch it. I mean it. No skip, no x2 speed. 100% recommend.

Refreshing!

If you want something chill and refreshing, this is the series for you! If you want some drama then I would advise you to come back to it another time.
By now, you've probably read many reviews saying how nice and wonderful this drama is and in all honesty I wholly agree! Now I would advise, don't go into this expecting something phenomenal. It's not something new and never been done before and it certainly won't be the last. People who've read all the reviews and started watching it while riding the hype train will certainly feel very underwhelmed. This series isn't doing anything out of this world. Just take it as it is with the only expectation being that it has 'little to no drama' kinda mindset.
Now my personal reason for liking this series so much. I've watched a lot of drama in my life, more than I can remember to list them all on here, but this series was just nice. While being so unproblematic unlike real life, it was still so realistic. The plot is pretty mundane in that it's a slice-of-life romance series of a group of friends in high school, following their journey as they grow up. That's it. Nothing crazy. But what I love so much about it is that they take certain scenarios that you've probably seen countless times in other romance series and, wait for it... have the couples communicate!! Wild. But no, seriously. Nothing in this series will make you feel frustrated and make you want to rip your hair out. You can enjoy it for being unrealistically realistic while feeling happy inside thinking that somewhere in the world, there is a couple out there who is as much of a green flag as the couple in this "drama". It's a slice-of-life so you should definitely be aware that this series is not a minute by minute take on the character's life but rather the most eventful. It's not a deep dive into every conversation that they ever had so having mainly chill moments is also plausible. From watching this I certainly found myself kicking my feet a little at cute moments between the characters and felt like I really missed out on certain aspects of my own personal life. If anyone else here reads mangas, it really reminds me of one of my fav. also similarly chill/fluffy manga "RERE Hello". I felt like the cast all acted their part well and the comedy was casual but still funny. Overall, I just liked it because they did an already done trope well. Also, one gripe that I have about many drama is that they usually don't know how to end a series, one issue that this series didn't have problem with. I felt like they ended it at the perfect time and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is tired of/or just wants a break from gut wrenching sad dramas. Take it as it is and just enjoy!
