This series really makes you hate the world as a woman, admire you as flowers, use you as medicine, and if they can’t admire you as a flower and use you as medicine, they will get rid of you as a weed.
Damn I like Lin Jin qi as a character and how attentive he is towards Lanxiang but idk for some reason I ship her with scholar Han more 🫠 I never had second lead preference ever but Scholar Han seem to be more suitable for Lanxiang in my preference
Something I find beautiful about lanxiang character is how sincere she is towards her work, she could have resented this work, envied these young ladies of the Lin household cause once she was equal to them in that society but she really see them as masters without any regret, try to serve them in best way, such a clear headed woman, instead of victimising herself she is trying to create best out of her situation. Rare for a female character to be portrayed strongly without using those victim scenes to trap the audience.

I think so, the scene where she was acting like a ghost in front of the Xie family the scene was shortened, that nanny was suddenly in floor she fl was holding a knife out of nowhere
