Remake Korean drama but better. Leads ship-worthy. Tsundere alert. SliceLife bingeable.
Music: I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert. The opening song is simply made for the show and is very cute so it left a last impression on me.Story: It's a remake of the korean drama but personally I like this take better. Is a nice story as far as dramas about going back and changing the past go. The ending is more satisfying though honestly they could've dragged that out longer and I wouldn't have minded. Would've loved to see the drama expand on the female lead's experience back more. Maybe she could've made significant changes of her own. The plot was light-hearted but oddly got my heart racing in anticipation for the next episode and the final confession. The supporting cast all play a part in building on the characters' roles.
Characters: I only talk about the main female and male leads because I feel like they are all that mattered. The leads are more animated in comparison to the Korean Version. The female lead played just the right amoun of tsundere and I definitely felt the gradual romantic connection blossoming before my eyes that felt very organic compared to the usual love at first sight or outrageous quarreling budding romances of today. I personally fell so in love with the female character that I don't think I be able to watch her in any of her other dramas any time soon. The guy does a great job but I did not particular fall for his character the same way I did for her. The chemistry was there definitely there but their relationship is the very awkward/tsundere kind rather than the loveydovey kind.

Korean iteration of Chinese Drama 2011. Great Music. Great Acting. Fanboy vibes strong.
Plot: Overall the I didn't have problems with the plot progression other than the fact I am biased against a weak female lead getting pushed away by the main lead and antagonist but I guess it can't be helped with the treatment of women during that historical era. The plot made sense considering that. This is a remake of the 2011 drama from China so forgive me if I wasn't WOWed by the story this time around. It's a great story that was unfortunately inhibited by messy poor editting and pacing. They could've fleshed it out a bit more with more episodes. This is a bloody political mess so get ready.Acting: Their acting was definitely great however. You feel the chemistry and emotions with the male leads. Supporting cast were great as well but I could have enjoyed it just as much with them removed. Seohyun's acting never really captivated me so that was alright.
Music:
The ost tracks and themes are lit. Always been a fan of Taeyeon.
Tbh I was brought here by the review of a user who went to Eternal Love's review and bashed on the quote "crap" drama for getting a 9.0 while comparing it to this one which she thought should've gotten a higher score and gave it a 1.0. For future reference, people shouldn't review dramas and tag other ones if they have no relevence. And remember, no drama is ever a 10. That is impossible.
Luckily I had already watched this drama prior so I do not have any inclination to hate so rest assured.

Lighthearted. Characters aren't easily swayed like cliches. Rom-Com guilty pleasure. Fluffy.
Story: This drama does not have the most groundshaking plot nor is it the most suspenseful. But I thoroughly enjoy watching every moment of it. I admit I am a bit of a sucker for most dramas where the girl is straight to the point and the actively aggressive one in the relationship. It was also beautiful to see that the opposing party doesn't make it easy either. It cuts to the chase very quickly and what you end up with is a lot of heart-throb moments early on.Characters: The main leads have great chemistry. The female lead really makes you fall in love with her confidence and thoughtfulness. Comparing her to her other dramas personally I feel like she really nailed the role. You know a character did a great job when the ending of the drama leaves you wanting more like a great relationship cut short. The male lead gives you the same feeling of shipping the couple all the way past the series's finale. The male lead is a very good complement to the female, with his lack of expression with a sense of professionalism. I am not ashamed to say I have a crush on both of them after this.

Binged it. Actors expressive. Ju jing yi too cute. Nice use of sound effects. Rom-Com happy ending.
Everything works out. It's a light hearted drama that kept me giggling. The actors were very expressive and did a great job with protrayal of the characters. A lot of this story is fluffed and unrealistic especially during those times but if ya want a rom-com you got it. I thoroughly enjoyed the drama until the last episodes came around. The conclusion of the story, the gender reveal moments and reactions, the eminent danger the protagonists were in all felt a bit lackluster and rushed. 30 episodes worth of seemingly deep issues were easily resolved in a matter of 6. Overall though, this drama go me all giddy and craving more. I managed to binge the series within a day and now I feel empty that it's over. On to my next journey. Was this review helpful to you?
