Many cdrama like this, going well at begining but flat/annoying for the rest.
I've forced myself to finish a drama like this before. Example i watched lovely sword girl, i know it because many fmv for this drama in yt. I feel weird why the clip just for 1-5 i think, why nobody make clip for rest ep. When i watch it, i know the reason and still force myself to finish it. Yeah that happy ending, but i feel i lost something. And the i choose to drop many cdrama, but still hope i can continue it.
For general lady i just watch until ep 5, after that i just watch the ending scene.

Agree. If that just serious scene maybe i already drop it. But the writer still add comedy scene in thrilling ep.

He just want to back, when he failed he choose to live peacefully so he even choose to be kim's spy.
She/he logic enough for me, she know the future that why she not in king's side because she know he will fail.
Yeah, now she accept she love king and choose to fight because kim clan to evil and hurt her people, like damhyang and king.

Why are there so many comments about the king's appearance in episode 18? The queen was also previously on hiatus for a long time, and appears at the end of the episode. Plus the king is said to be dead, it's natural for the writer not to showing him for a long time with the aim of making us wonder if he is alive or dead. I admit Byeong In has been scary lately, and that is the twist on this story. At the beginning we were shown the figure of Byeong In who purely loved Soyong, who was then angry because someone tried to kill the queen, but in the end he became obsessed with Soyong because he had difficulty accepting the fact that Soyong had forgiven the king who even tried to kill her. On the other hand, we are shown the figure of Hwajin who is innocent but as if full of mystery, when we think she is smart enough to keep the king's dream, she actually destroys it and becomes a figure that was hated. but in the end? She chose to make peace with it all. I think these two characters are a twist in their own, because I didn't expect their figures to end like this, if i only see in the beginning of this series. maybe many in the audience complained, but I personally not.

Actually i like soft fantasy story like this. But the logic of fl's character is not match. She good fighter, and little dumb (that the consept, and its ok) but, when she run to him, got scared by him, she act like teenager girl. If her consept is fighter, she must show it all the time.
Its like production team want new story with same romantic scene.

Actually i watch some scene of go princess go, and i confidently say "the king is jerk, real bad guy" i really hate him. Even the queen is funny, but i cant see any reason to fall in love to him. That why i drop to watch it, and hope cheoljong not that bad. Glad, cheoljong is good guy, even he tried kill our queen at first.

I always wait every week, no matter if just spoilers....

When queen sunwon recall the past, she actually said king heonjong (previous king) is her grandson.
Queen jo is previous king's mom (queen sunwon said it when she got caught after so yong faint)
So, sunwon is mother in law of queen jo.
Some subtitle write 'stepmom' for queen jo. But actually they mean she is adopt mom/legal mom.
That explain, why cheoljong live in village, if his father a king, why he live there.
Cheoljong's real father just prince, and clan kim say he trying to take throne, so all his family got killed.

Even this drama is fantasy, but they use the real name. So i think real history maybe help me.

Yes, adopt mom. Same like queen sunwon is his adopt grandma.
Queen sunwon is grandmother of king heonjong (the previous king who died after arrested one of kim clan). Queen d. Jo is king heonjong's mother.
After heonjong died, he doesnt have heir so queen sunwon (who more powerful and highest rank in palace) choose the king. And she choose cheoljong (heonjong's cousin/cheoljong and heonjong have same great great grandfather) to be next king because they believe he is dumb ( he live in village after all his family died)
So he bring his friend and his half brother to the palace, because he has nobody.
That why he doesnt have power in palace. He just 2 years as king. No one believe him, no one in his side.

He and his sister choose the king but when the king not follow them he will hurt or maybe kill him. Then choose other king again.
They do that to sunwon real grandson, so they can do that again to cheoljong who not have bloodline with sunwoon.
