The drug interrogation scene took my imagination to LSK investigation. If that's how the police investigated LSK in real life, then an innocent person wouldn't have survived. Even if someone is guilty and feels remorse, and wants to make amends, being interrogated in such a humiliating way—especially for a person who built their career over two decades—could make it all go down the drain in a second. Being treated like trash would definitely see all doors of freedom closed on him.
The decision he made to end his life after enduring a 19-hour interrogation over the past two months makes me realize his choice wasn't taken lightly or as a result of a random panic attack. Anyone would likely feel the same after going through such humiliation and public condemnation for a crime he may or may not have committed.
In the series, the character didn't allow the detective to walk over her, but in real life, he wouldn't have uttered a word. Rest well "My Ajeossi".
From where do I start...another gem of an episode. Flawless, I can't think of any adjustment needed. It was perfect what p'Aof envisioned. That man has nailed his job as a director and filmmaker. It is absolute delight to watch this creation.
It is unusual for a BL to be this calm when we are reaching finale, well EP11 might not be curse episode, but more sad episodes are definitely coming.
The final confrontation of Day and Night is one of the huge culmination of series that is pending, and based on novel, we know why Day is hostile towards his brother, but I fear Night might have sad ending, if they go on a route that I don't want p'Aof to go. Day will not be able to live with that burden.
This is also not a story set in classic timeless period, where a living soul can sacrifice for their love in ways, that now in this era not possible, not legally though. So going that route will be a huge put off as it will take away the authenticity they build so far.
Day able to see or not, is not a point, should not be a point, accepting the fate when you know you can't change is not giving up, but embracing the trials of life and make something out of it, and be happy.
Words are easy to write, and say, I know very well... but if you have a true support and people who can lift you up after every fall, you will realize nothing is different, everything remains same, and you will be able to see more clearer than before. I hope Day understand this, and he is on his way to achieve that, but there are knots and final acceptance left on his part to finally shed the burden he has not unable to so far.
One of the best series and it has managed to place itself (at least for me) among top 5 series of 2023, regardless of genre, country and region.
It is a saying in my culture, "if you are not good to your family, no matter how good you are outside, you are a bad person" -
Li laoshi, was not a competent teacher, he had passion for teaching, other than that he had nothing. He could show empathy to great lengths with his students, ignoring one soul sitting in dark always, his own child. He was so good with his students, but failed miserably to show kindness and same love to his own child and wife.
Now that he has this disease, and the deep hidden regrets keep coming up, means nothing, as he can't makeup for all the time and chances he lost.
Lei Ming, is hurt beyond words, he is excellent in teaching just like his father, but he don't want to use this and become like his father. Ic an understand LM, but the choices he made is out of pure rebel nature he had because of his father, I can't dislike LM, but sure i don't like father, no matter if he ask for forgiveness or make amends, because he can't turn time back and fill the place of father he kept empty for his son.
No reason can justify what he did. As a person, I might agree that Li laoshi is a good person, but he is an incompetent teacher (despite huge fan following) and a failed father.
every episode is better than the previous. p’Aoff thank you for making this series. Sea acting is just remarkable in this series. he perfectly potrayed his part.
please let Night have a happy ending and peace with Day. dont make night a sacrificial lamb this way day wil mever be happy
Watching Longhai fellow mates cheering for LR, proves one thing and one thing - GOODNESS.
They cheered for him not because they saw him as physics god, or wanted him to become next Einstein or dethrone the current champion, but they followed the path he left, the path of kindness, goodness and tuth.
He comes as cold, with fewer words but he is good at heart, and goodness attracts everyone without you making any effort.
As of E12 I stand with Sang laoshi. This is one of very few series, where two opposite views are absolutely right. It is just that she is hot tempered, but every word she speaks to refute Li laoshi theories, is not only right but absolutely perfect.
What Li does is teach them how to row a boat, in a right direction but what to do when you have conflicts while rowing that boat to their destination, is where Sang laoshi steps in.
Li has so many knots of his hurtful past and him being ignored by his father scars him more than anything. He needs to solve this first and the he can see many meaning of life, other than the talent he already possesses.
I am missing this series so much...tomorrow come fast.
It would be a love story of the century if Mhok decided to give his eyes, but this is not an old tale or set in times past. In the present, laws don't allow a healthy living person to donate organs.
Holly crap...8.7 the highest rated BL on MDL.
Yes TLT is the true No.1 rated BL, as I Feel you Linger has 2 pages, and uncut watchers are far less than TLT.
We are not viewing SK as a country whole for this. Their entertainment industry is a focus here. Their entertainment…
I am also not blaming them, it is reply as a whole. I hope it is understood in a clear way, not in anyway it is anger or counter question the person who commented.
But yes when a country fails to protect people who falls victim to same crime over and over and over again, then all people are to blame. And it is same for any country not just for SK.
We are not viewing SK as a country whole for this. Their entertainment industry is a focus here. Their entertainment industry is unforgiving, uncompromising, biased and unfair and before you say it is like that everywhere, no it is not. The actors, the idols and showbiz people are under scrutiny of public under 24/7. The cyberbullying, hate is the worst in SK.
Social taboos, self image, idols life, actor life, celebrity rules, agencies pressure, media freedom and their constant lynching, cancel culture, are one of the darkest in K Entertainment industry.
You live in SK, and I have worked with them, observed them, and they are not only position conscious, but they possess minds that even other Asian countries don't have. I am not saying they are all bad but yes they need to change, it is not good what they have. And yes every country has something that others don't like, but as long as human suffers we must speak no matter which country or culture it is.
As you know their office culture is worst, their sunabe-hoobae culture is toxic, Korean are hesitant to new and open things and they don't accept change that aren't part of their culture. They are self conscious, brand conscious, influenced by thousands of beauty and living standards that are hard to follow everyday for a human being. And I have witnessed this myself and i could only pity them, as living like this is nothing but tiring yourself for a work that is really not needed.
I criticized Korean entertainment industry and agencies because they give citizens freedom to walk over celebs, and despite having counter measure their are no effects of them that could to curb the suicide of celebs occurred due to bullying of people.
SK is a small country, from north to south it just take some hours to travel, so people bash, trash, and lynch celeb like it is nothing, the news spread like a fire and the artist or individual is suddenly an object and subject of hatred and cyberbullying.
Their drug law is notorious but I dare say it is fair and equal. But they announce death for a person who is accused of such crime, not giving a chance to redeem or else. He spent 20-years building his carer, had a family and it came down to cyberbullying and he left like that, when he could have been saved, when he could have been punished by law and be a free man again. But we took that chance, SK people took that chance from him. Age doesn't matter, experience doesn't' matter, if you see yourself in an unexpected situation and there is no way out, even the smartest person can make a wring choice, and he must have hopeless and helpless for past month before making this decision? Whose fault is this?
Whose fault is this that Sully died? whose fault is this Go Hara died? whose fault is that Kim Jong-hyun died even when he told the doctor he is depressed and the doctor blamed his depression on his personality, who will you blame the death of Cha In Ah? Will Jang Ja-yeon will have get justice when she was raped and assaulted by 50+ powerful people and the general public didn't believed her!
SK entertainment industry has fans, anti-fans, netizens and sasaeng, each one of them is toxic as fuck. Fans who sees their celeb as god, they don't accept faults, mistakes and problem. Ant-fans, hence name will do anything to find mistakes and problems for artist or idol they hate. Netizen, the judgmental people with stereotypical thoughts and opinions about celebs, and finally sasaeng, according to study sasaeng can easily kill a celeb if they see them acting or behaving that do not please them. Under such scrutiny they still survive so it is one of the hardest job, and we just say oh it is showbiz who cares....
I am not biased for them, I am not even related or near to showbiz industry but I want to empathized with them, what they endure, I don't have any specific likes or dislikes in idols, or actors, but when I see how their lives only revolves around public and for public it pains to see that they are not free and this will bring lot of psychological problem to them later in life, which they are not aware yet.
Lastly, and for the worst part there’s a huge different type of society in South Korea than other countries even Asian, with the Idealistic public expects their Idols or actors to be faultless. They react to simple things and act as trolls on news which aren't even truth proven. Netizens just cannot see their public figures as a human beings. And thats the most important thing, which make so different mindset. You could see like in other countries they share about “their Idols new project as an Entertainer” and South Korean shares about “their Idols affair, flaws and mistakes“. Indeed, rather then took a mirror and care about themselves, these people more care about another people’s business.
So this need to stop. Not every netizen of K country is at fault, that is given but if they fail to voice against such matter then are part of it. Period.
This reminds me of Yoo Ah In who I’ve been worried about since his “drug allegations” came out. I hope he’s…
he is a artistic nature person and very very "open" to things which Korean society will never accept, and his drug usage admittance and subsequent departure from industry and sorry...he will likely to be recover, but I hope he won't take drastic step like LSK did.
Ever since Kim Jong-hyun, Cha In Ha and Haruma died, I lost faith in people. I don't ask them to understand, you want to bully someone, ok do it, kill someone, okay kill till you are satisfied. But understand only this...nothing is free, your punishment comes in a form, even you won't realize you are being punished.
I just googled Choi Jin-Sil and saw that after she committed suicide, her brother, manager and ex-husband also…
Her story was heartbreaking, she was considered original Hallyu star, she was first to be called nations actress and in short period of her career she did prolific work, but ever since here manager was murdered by her road manager her life went crawling down. She never resurfaced from the controversies.
Her career still wasn't that bad despite controversies but she and other actors had lend money to another actor, and he was unable to pay and committed staple suicide or called Korean Suicide "burning charcoal in a car" just like Lee Sun-Kyun did, and media called her loan shark and she was never able to recover from this blow.
So her death was entirely on media outlets and citizens who sentenced her to death for a crime she never committed.
The decision he made to end his life after enduring a 19-hour interrogation over the past two months makes me realize his choice wasn't taken lightly or as a result of a random panic attack. Anyone would likely feel the same after going through such humiliation and public condemnation for a crime he may or may not have committed.

People lives gets destroyed in a sec someone spread any news on SNS or else against you.
I have said it long ago, may be a decade ago, this will keep happening, as public has a different view of celebs in Korea.
In other countries, maximum a week news circulates and people don't give f, but in SK people sentence you to death if you make any mistake.
In. human world they are not consider human.
Also celeb abusing power is also a problem in SK.
Entertainment industry is very big in SK, but it has equally bigger and major problems, unlike other countries.
What Li does is teach them how to row a boat, in a right direction but what to do when you have conflicts while rowing that boat to their destination, is where Sang laoshi steps in.
