I will not lie; for me, this series is quite average, and I would have skipped it if it weren't for the leads, especially XZ. I'm not his fan, but he possesses star power. His charisma works very well and makes watching it worthwhile.
People shouldn't be soft hearted, KJH betrayed the women he loved, and did all the gutter for past 6 months, and now crying and bit farewell running after a child is not gonna cut it.
I know it seems he took his daughter, but he will leave her outside their door after spending time with her, and will bid his goodbyes, and perhaps, in 49/50 episodes there will be a time laps and he will come to Korea, and will have reunion with her daughter who will be grown up and will form a happy bond that works for everyone.
Yi father want to kill Diao I think. As we know that Dia father is selfish jerk, who exorts money from YI time to time, as we got to know from Cutie Pie series, so both men's father aren't sweet as they seems to be.
ps. do yourself a favor don't dive deep into acting.
AEJ is one of the most talented actors of Korea, an acting power house.
There will be people hating at the ending of first half of series, but there is still much to explore.
I for one do not hate the police officer, because he is not evil, he just lover her genuinely and he acted what law permitted him, but in the end he let her go.
It was her choice to choose happiness of others on hers, and that is the most difficult and selfless thing one can do.
You wonder a lady like Eun Ae would make sacrifices a lot, because Gil Chae is unrestrained, firecracker and back in era "a women can't be controlled" but she is the one who brought life to others, fought in war with all her might, saved people and continue to walk on the same line, unchanged.
But in the end, she choose her own suffering as she saw her decision would make a lot people unhappy, so she chooses them over her. Yes, in todays world this may seem as abomination, but sacrifices carries lot of weight, and people who make sacrifices, are scarce these days and perhaps none. So for me, she is one of best character written.
Ryang Eum on the other hand is selfish, he may be kind, but out of his own greed he lit a fire of mistrust between them, had he been true to his feelings and confessed to ML that he likes him, it would have been better then to have him seen gone like that. And his eyes at the end on the GC with rage, proves nothing but he blames her for his own mistake.
ps. stop saying back in time, it was simple likeness as friend or else...he clearly likes him. So shut-up.
I don't understand why we have to sit and see the sorry ass of ex-husband melodrama. If he was this sad he should have kept himself restrained.
One of the things he said while venting to Shan Shan, when she said you still have those young girls to drink with, and he says they won't understand me, such personal talk I can't do with them, so meaning wife is someone you can only come when you want deep conversation sad? Whatnot those happy moments they only for young girls? Moron talk, shamelessness, keeping his infidelity so casual, takes out all the weight of relationship and its impact.
I get it, she can't get out of it, even if they are divorced, as they are founders of company and will meet everyday, he should have think before being a jerk.
A long way for ML-FL relationship perhaps by the end of EP20 or something...
AEJ choice of roles never disappointed me not even ONCE. From her quiet, weird almost no to none words role in Diary of a Prosecutor to a having first billed role in More than Friends to having leading role in One and Only, to this....she just Chinese brighter than before every time she appears on screen.
One of the most talented graduate of Seoul Institute of the Arts along with SSon Ye-jin and Kim Go Eun, AEJ excels in every art she possess.
Been a long time fan of her, she is perhaps only actress that outshined NM as his counterpart. Can't wait for next part of this series.
No hate but as far as i can remember, A drama called-Romance is a bonus book with the same genre ,was criticized…
No thats not true. She was clumsy because her life went down the pipe, she was smart, but fell in love with idiot and became housewife, and never worked during her marriage, that lowered her moral and confidence. Later when she divorced her husband, she was fearless, but knew nothing as she was stepping back in society. ML helped her with everything including confidence, so she wasn't dumb, she was learning and adjusting to new environment. So your comparison is wrong.
Nothing wrong with self dependent, as one should be regardless of any gender, infact in this series, ML is shown pushover and struggling, but they made it too obvious that it feels cringe, and plot wise it is nothing very exciting, except the fact that it is good with acting, thats the main reason this show has me kept going, plus the star-power. I am not fan of either of leads, but i tend to watch their projects because they are good at their craft.

ps. the series is so good. I just wish Kim Kwon played 1 good role in his life.
