Beautiful acting and no one can deny that.

There aren't any major spoliers !!

Starting with the story first, yes, it was not the best storyline for such a huge star cast. BUT I have to give it up to the acting of all the characters. Not one character an their acting felt wasted.

The story was like the cliche normal C-dramas. They fell in love, there was some misunderstanding, and they got back together with a happy ending. Thats it. That was the whole story.

But to me, what stands out is their acting. Its how the main characters really did their best. The emotion portrayed by the characters, especially Shu Yi and Shi Yan. I don't really cry too much in emotional scenes, but Bai Lu was so much in character that I couldn't help but cry during the emotional scene. The cold, ruthless CEO has a soft spot for his loved one, and on the other hand, she is usually a very smart top journalist but is helpless when things go wrong.

Everything other than the story is really good about this drama. This drama can really be seen as something to binge-watch when you have nothing to watch. Take it as a light watch, and don't expect major twists and turns. Well, not every C-drama should have major stories. Some should be lighthearted and okay too.

Anyway, it was a good watch for me. I really hope someday both of these actors are chosen once again to act in a new cdrama with a nicer storyline.

A soft light hearted rom-com.

This drama was soft and lighthearted in my opinion. It started off with an unexpected incident, which brought the best laugh for me, and slowly and steadily, it went into the side stories of the main lead.

The FL is a PR team manager, cleaning up the mess the actors make, and the ML is the top star in the country. They have had a strong relationship, starting from their college days and eventually as colleagues. The bickering of the leads and the soft side for each other were just like the cherry on top of this drama. The love triangle here is great too. NO MESS. The supporting couples were great and filled with romance and comedy. And every character was well played, leaving no hard feelings.

This drama overall was just so sweet and soft with lots of comedy. The ending just made me feel content. This drama could be perfect for binge watch.

A Slice of Korean Countryside Brilliance

Welcome to Samdalri, a 2023 K-drama that landed on my screen like a breath of fresh air, instantly weaving its way into my heart. It's more than just a romance; it's a love letter to family, community, and rediscovering oneself amidst the breathtaking beauty of Jeju Island. So, buckle up, drama lovers, because I'm here to gush about everything that makes this show a must-watch!

A Story That Resonates:

At its core lies Jo Sam-Dal (Shin Hye-sun), a once-celebrated photographer disillusioned by the cutthroat world of Seoul. Returning to her childhood home in Samdalri, she seeks solace in the familiar embrace of her family and the island's natural splendor. There, she reconnects with her childhood sweetheart, Han Kang-woo (Ji Chang-wook), a man as grounded as the earth he farms.

Their rekindled romance is a slow burn, simmering with unspoken affection and shared memories. It's not just about grand gestures; it's in the quiet moments, the knowing glances, and the unwavering support they offer each other. Their journey resonates with anyone who's ever questioned their path or sought refuge in the comfort of home.

A Celebration of Community:

Samdalri isn't just a backdrop; it's a living, breathing character. The vibrant community pulsates with warmth and humor, each resident adding their own unique flavor to the tapestry. From the haenyeo divers, strong and independent women who defy age and societal expectations, to the quirky yet endearing townsfolk, every interaction feels genuine and heartwarming.

A Feast for the Senses:

The cinematography is nothing short of breathtaking. Jeju Island comes alive in every frame, from the golden sunrises over the ocean to the lush green fields swaying in the breeze. The soundtrack seamlessly blends traditional Korean melodies with contemporary tunes, perfectly complementing the on-screen emotions.

Actors Who Shine:

Shin Hye-sun delivers a nuanced performance, capturing Sam-Dal's vulnerability and resilience with equal aplomb. Ji Chang-wook is equally charming as the stoic yet gentle Kang-woo. Their chemistry is palpable, making their every interaction a delight to watch.

More Than Just Romance:

While the central romance is undeniably sweet, Welcome to Samdalri tackles deeper themes. It explores family dynamics, societal pressures, and the importance of staying true to oneself. It reminds us that happiness isn't always found in the bright lights of the city but sometimes in the quiet whispers of the heart, amidst the familiar faces and comforting rhythms of home.

So, if you're looking for a K-drama that will make you laugh, cry, and leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside, Welcome to Samdalri is your answer. It's a show that celebrates the simple joys of life, the power of community, and the enduring strength of love. It's a reminder that sometimes the greatest adventures are found not in faraway lands but in returning to the roots that nourish our souls.

Final Verdict: A must-watch for fans of heartwarming romances, slice-of-life dramas, and anyone seeking a feel-good escape. Just be prepared to fall in love with Samdalri, its people, and the beautiful story it unfolds.

I hope this review has piqued your interest in Welcome to Samdalri. Trust me, this show is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. So, grab your favorite snacks, settle in, and prepare to be swept away to the enchanting world of Samdalri!

A MUST WATCH DRAMA.

This is, without a doubt, the best K-drama I've seen in 2022.

Yes, it was another cliched love story. The cold CEO male lead, who has no idea what love is, A chaotic yet calm female lead from a middle-class family, and the romance of their respective friends. It creates a love square in which neither of them has any negative feelings. For a brief moment, there is also a love triangle, but yeah.
They will keep you engaged and curious about the next episode from the very first episode. They have fantastic twists in between, as well as a family comedy drama, which makes the whole thing perfect.

In a nutshell, this is a cute, fluffy, sweet romance drama about two couples with a lot of comedy that lasts until the final episode.

A good drama, had a lot of potential but might disappoint in the end.

This drama could've been a very nice, lighthearted one, but I don't know what the writers thought. The pace for 1-14 episodes was mind-blowing, as if it kept one interested for further episodes, but the last 2 episodes went downhill.
This drama is about their youth. One wanted to do what she loved and the other had to give up on his dreams to survive. They both met due to an incident, and that the friendship they developed was worth it. Meanwhile, NHD also made friends with her idol, and that bid was THE BEST in friendship. The second lead couple, no triangle, just a sweet, innocent, and non-giving-up relationship. And the last JSW, she is gold. Her personality and her confidence are so cool.
Apart from that, NHD and BYJ slowly and steadily form a love relationship. It was all good until BYJ made it into the local news. From there, the NHD's part of the problems began. And when BYJ had to go to NY, it all changed and it led them to breakup.
Honestly, I was fine with the break up. They had their own opinions and they made sense too in the last episode when they burst open. It's just that something is missing in the end. I don't know how a breakup that is 20 years old still haunts a happily married woman. Of course it was her youth, but still, the ending wasn't that satisfactory.

On the other hand, the title "25–21" was just about their youth. The past that she lived and which has nothing to do with her present. If we think that way, the gap for her present life for us can be filled.

A must-watch for fans of horror and mystery !!

I'm not usually a fan of horror, but Revenant had me hooked from the first episode. The story follows a literature professor named San-yeong who begins to experience strange and terrifying visions after she inherits a memento from her father. As she tries to unravel the mystery of her visions, she finds herself drawn into a dark and dangerous world of demons and shamans.

What I loved most about Revenant was the way it blended elements of horror, mystery, and suspense. The show did a great job of building suspense and creating a sense of dread. I was constantly on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next.
The acting in Revenant was also top-notch. Kim Tae-ri gave a fantastic performance as San-yeong. She was able to convey San-yeong's fear, confusion, and determination in a way that was both believable and engaging.

Overall, Revenant was a refreshing and unique take on the horror genre. It's not your typical jump-scare fest. Instead, it's a slow-burning thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.

A Good Drama About Life and Youth

Keeping the love plot line aside this drama did justise to other aspects of a youth. From school life to being an actual adult, it showed a glimpse of all the important elements a young adult faces in their life at least once.

The story line covered a lot of characters and each character had their own story to tell. There was a lot of heartbreaking things but a beautiful endto complete their own stories. This drama is actually a slice of life kind of drama which actually portrays real life things and not fairytale love.

To me the love triangle between the main leads wasn't the best part and when the third person finally went from their lives (love angle way) their own misunderstandings came in way, THIS WAS THE ONLY THING which did not satisfy me. Also the screen time for the two leads being in love was also very less. I wish we had more of them dating and something but anyways.

The drama is a worth a watch if you have nothing to binge, the sweet moments of these friends and the cute bikering of the main leads will keep you going. Overall it was a fun watch.

A beautiful second chance romamce <3

Fireworks in My Heart is a heartwarming drama about two childhood sweethearts who are reunited after 10 years. Song Yan is a firefighter who is dedicated to his job and his family. He is also a bit of a hothead, but he has a heart of gold. He reunites with his childhood sweetheart, Xu Qin, who is now a doctor. Xu Qin is kind and compassionate, but she is also a bit reckless. The two of them fall in love again, but their relationship is complicated by their different careers and their pasts.

Fireworks in My Heart is a well-made drama with excellent acting, a suspenseful plot, and a heartwarming romance. The show does a great job of balancing the action and the emotion, and it never feels too cheesy or too serious. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the show does a good job of exploring the themes of love, loss, and redemption.

If you're looking for a drama that will make you laugh, cry, and root for the characters, then you'll definitely want to check out Fireworks in My Heart. It's a heartwarming and suspenseful drama that you won't be able to forget.
