it's a teen drama bro, and i find kdrama acting kinda cringe in general. the acting, the comedy scenes can be cringe but now i'm accepting that that's what it is, kdramas are DRAMA, lol. but it was still pretty cool, especially the first half.

i liked it. and i rated it 9/10, no need to feel hurt. even tho i liked it, i acknowledge that it's cliche and cringe in some aspects. :)

i have watched weak hero. and a few other school violence based kdramas too. as a disclaimer, i do not live in south korea so of course i can only speak from what I've heard and raid. and while it IS fiction at the end of the day, especially if based on a webtoon, i don't think it's too unrealistic to say that teachers would ignore such violence. because I've heard that teachers actually don't have much power there to punish or interference in student matters? and thst laws for minors are pretty lenient too. this is all from what I've heard and read haha, can't really provide evidence. but shit's messed up there, i won't question it too much hearing all these crazy school violence cases.

just the surface archetype, rest is all pretty different, as well as the vibe. weak hero is a tragedy, this is a comedy fairytale.

in south Korea's reality where school violence is an actual thing. :)

the ridiculous things! I've seen people describe her as dark(??), complicated and independent(can't exist alone for a minute) but I've seen none of that so far, unfortunately. maybe it's just yang zi or the character writing tbh.

her living as a man does explain part of it. i'm not sure if she's in love w FFB/XL either, she just casually hangs out w him while he throws her down a tall tree or bites her neck for blood.

and yeah, she has trust issues and lies to herself to protect herself. but hear me out, she would still have emotions! she didn't completely get rid of emotions, did she? even if she's lying to herself, even if she's hiding her love for someone, there's going to be hesitance, fear, obv signs that she's in love, she's gonna feel SOMETHING. and i cannot see it in her face. simply can't feel this girl.ll

i'm just lost with this drama. i can connect to many characters but not XY and FFB/WHATEVER his prev name was. XY has such a hard past but somehow it never shows up on her face/expressions or maybe i just cannot grasp this high level acting. she seems pretty lost w the character. due to burnouts and drama slumps, I've only now begin to cont. this drama and i connect to TJ and CX but not XY. i'm trying so hard but i just can't feel her. the only time i like her acting was when she broke down seeing her mother's dupe in the palace. even when she's hanging out w FFB, she has pup eyes and i can never feel any emotional consistently/character from her. and her romance w TJ feels half-baked, I JUST CANNOT FEEL HER.

really just looking for perspectives here, anyone?

kinda agree, kinda not. but thanks for spoiling the ending for me, i was dreading watching those last two miserable episodes.
