Japanese style of acting is really theatrical, no? It's so obvious especially amongst older actors. But it seems this trend is gradually shifting among the younger gen. This show is a good example to show exactly that.

Well it didn't feel like that to me. To me they were just trying to show the usual office culture where people always gossip about their co-workers or bosses. And it would have been totally off-brand if they indeed went with the murder plot since this show had always been feel-good with just some minor complications.
It was quite enjoyable overall and felt like a actual movie like romcom vibes. But towards the end it fizzled…
I thought it was made clear that the murder was just an unfounded rumor, and that it was all an accident. Also, I don't see how the family friend character would contribute to the story, so it was just right that they were not added to the plot.
I do agree about the grandpa and Hari relationship, though.
