It recently dawned on me that the whole 2021 covid timeline may have been superimposed on a script that had already been somewhat conceived and written. It just really wasn't well handled although initially seemed part of a fantastic framing of the show. Because I loved so much the show I am trying to understand what went wrong for me in the show. Others comments have been helpful to me here.
I was away and not able to watch the last few episodes. Now that I know how it finished I do not have a big desire…
I agree with a reviewer who says that this characteristic rushed ending of kdramas is somewhat purposeful in that they have the glory and the audience and do not really need to wrap it up well. This is insulting to me as a viewer.
I was away and not able to watch the last few episodes. Now that I know how it finished I do not have a big desire to watch them although I probably will at some point. I thought the show was wonderful up to the point that I watched. When I read that the male lead a big role in the depiction of his character , I became concerned that that might not be consistent with the writers idea of the story. I also did not like the way we were teased about who was her husband and who her daughter's father was. The timelines of when she married and when she had the child don't make sense. That is something one would expect an explanation for. I did not like a different actor playing the mature he do. She did not present as a happy person and we don't really know why that is . The scene where he do and her mother have their check-ups and hold a hands with each other as though each other is all they have implied that he do does not have a good relationship with anyone else. This is the saddest part of the show. If it was losing Eugen that caused her to be this way then the whole story line that this is what happens in life and we move on does not hold water. So what happened to cause her to be depressed really? I don't think this is something we can accept for a 40 year old woman as a good outcome.
I actually just managed to purchase a brand new, unopened dvd set of this drama off eBay. Lucky find!
I once rented a dvd of city hunter from the library and it was poor quality. So I have been hesitant to buy on line. Was the quality good? I watched a poor quality version on line recently of Save the LAST...........and loved it.
Twenty Five twenty one In keeping with the spirit of this drama I don't think there will be a crazy twist that sees Hee Do and Yi Jin still together. Either he dies(maybe heroically) or they agree to part because of their career goals. I certainly hope it is not an ugly break-up. If she is Yijin's daughter but he died before she could remember him, it would not be in keeping with their characters to not tell her. Perhaps Ye Jin is adopted or an illegitimate son of his father's and they do not want their daughter to experience the prejudice of a similar status.
just my guess..BAEK YI JIN is locked up and his daughter is KIM MIN CHAE but because he was locked up NA HEE DO…
I had a similar thought. I do not think this is the kind of story where Hee do would keep a birth secret from Ye Jin. That would be a long time in jail though.
I am finding this drama to be suspenseful. I keep fearing for the leads that they will not be successful or, worse,…
So I am not sure what to think of the ending. I did not enjoy the drama series as much as I might have if subtitles had appeared promptly on Vicki. I watched without subtitles and then with subtitles on kiss Asian. Never on my TV with good audio and video.. I was not interested enough to watch it another time on the big screen. Back to the ending. The show did not allow us to be voyeurs. Consistent with the plot and the characters. 3 years was a little difficult to understand although I know the idea was that he would have time to develop his mathematical Genius.
You are not the only one! I'm believing she is handling her romantic feelings with a lot of control. His obsession…
I really like how the show creates this bubble around the two of them that is so distinct from anything else that is going on around them. Even though the romance is not really clear yet. I wasn't sure I liked the depiction of the baddies being so bad and so many of them. Hopefully once the evil ringleaders are all done away with in some fashion, the other characters can regain some of their Humanity. I think this is starting, albeit still for rather selfish reasons. I like how the principal's arrogance leads to the vice principal betraying her.
I am also looking for Tamra the island directors cut but not having any luck yet.
