I misunderstood you. Seems we have a very different view of this drama.

I am debating about whether to watch the end or not. I think probably not. I stopped around the same point you did because I just wanted them to break up.

I'm glad to hear she had more personality and Independence in the novel. I stuck with the first 2/3 of the drama because I thought he was acting so well to the point of my being disgusted with him. Then I could see there was not going to be a light shining at the end of the tunnel and I did not watch the end.

I have tried to think of her as an immature woman caught in a toxic relationship. This does happen to many women and it's a real struggle to get out of it. I did not watch to the end because I know she did not leave him but accepted him back. For a drama, we should have seen some development and maturation in her character. This is a terrible message about relationships wrapped up in an undeservedly high rated package

I did not watch the last few episodes. She should never have gotten back with him then I would have been happy with the ending.

This drama would have worked for me if the two of them never got into relationship 😁

Seriously though, this is an exact rendition of an abusive relationship. The man comes back with flowers in the hand and humility and then just does the same thing all over again.

The drama could have sent him to groups for abusive partners.

No matter what flora's weaknesses might be, she is a woman caught in a toxic relationship.

I decry the message this is sending to younger watchers.

I very much agree with most of what you have said. The one thing I would highlight though is that she is in a relationship with her boss. So what we describe as her flaws and not speaking up or being confrontational are related to that .She could lose her job or at the very least it will be very uncomfortable in the workplace if they are not getting along.

Review Road Home
I am late to the show!

I agree on many of your points. You reminded me that I had wondered what had happenned to him to injure him. It was like the drama forgot to include the scene! Also the timeframe of the ending was garbled. Suddenly their daughter looks about 2 or 3. As a newborn she looked several months old! She was advanced as a newborn- already smiling. Of course newborns are not lined up to start their acting careers.

I would have liked the ghost of the golferto turn up-- good idea! That would have brought the plot full circle. There could have been more ghost shenanigans and perhaps a more impactful take down of Minhyuk. I also thought the brother's ghost could have been further utilized. For us in the West it seemed it was the river Styx but I think there is a similar concept in Korea/China-the river of forgetfulness. I could have done without the big souls scene and the appearance of the dead brother who had promised to die for her. Another twisted recurring motif but somehow i did not have an impact on me.

I almost wish I had not watched the last 2 episodes. Even though I did I have poor recall because I was not interested any more.

Yes I hung in for the couple. Tuned out for the succession stuff. It could have been shorter and more dramatic. Not enough punch and it took up too much screentime. I would have preferred he be arrested in front of the gathered board not outside.

I find I am often disappointed at the end of a genre mashup, as I was with MRN and No Love No Gain(or whatever the title was).

Hello You reminded me why I hated the scene so much where she rejects him and gives him the hairpin back. I felt sorry for him but what bothered me most was how pathetic/pitiful he was. I thought his acting was very good throughout the drama.. I think this was another drama that fell victim to a poor script based on a novel, I think it was. The female lead's acting was questionable at times.

I enjoyed your review. There is more to write about when you've watched further!

I am almost embarrassed to say that I did get at least as far as you did in this drama. 😁 I was thinking I had only watched the first three episodes or so or maybe all this happened in the first three or 4 episodes. I was watching for the mail lead but his character turned me right off. The only part I remember positively is a seen in the vet's office where the dogs or cat sees what's going on in front of it.

Just looked at reviews. Seems many more loved it than hated it.

L&P did not feel that long(except one part). I am very interested in knowing how you find it. It seems to be an either love it or hate it show. I loved it! It did feel too long to rewatch though!

Review Marry My Husband: Japan Spoiler
I too thought the use of the OLympics was clever. A much broader reference than BTS's Dynamite(which was fun) Also Tapioca. That might also have been in the K version? I really enjoyed the Wagushi theme.

I had not thought about the value of having an exceptional male lead to draw focus away from the differences in the female lead. MMH K was my introduction to Na In Woo and I was impressed. I prefer the casting, though,in MMH J but I do miss some of the over the top acting by the two villains in the K version. Satoh Takeru does take it to the next level.

I also appreciated the tighter script and the paring down of conflicts. I enjoyed the development of the OTP much more without the frustration of miscommunication.
