I really don't understand why you categorized those as fillers. They were integral to the foundation of the series which are truly helpful to the growth of the characters.
So far, the only filler I can personally think of is that PPL scene for Kopiko. Yes, just a scene. Because I think, so far, the rest of the scenes are well-thought of to connect to important scenes later on.

Since my list for Males-to-ship-with-SoHyun has been vacated (she's finally doing a project with Park Bogum, yey!!!),
I can happily add Seo Ji Hoon in it.
Hopefully they'll be casted as leads next as they also have undeniable chemistry, which to me, felt warm.

Whereas, SoHyun's chemistry with Hwang Minhyun felt cool and peaceful, which I also like.

Me too. He's not imposing himself on FL anymore. Just reassuring her that if it doesn't work out with ML, then he's just there waiting for her.

Very healthy. Romance isn't rushed and the Writer didn't follow the ep 8 arc for romance genres. They're building their foundation very well and perhaps this has been one of, if not the most organic relationship I've seen in kdramaland.

Ohh you're right. I felt that he's been so immersed in the "Oppa" role that he forgot the most important of all-- treating Solhee as an equal. She's her lover after all, not a younger person to protect.

I don't think it was rushed though.
She took her silence and thinking seriously. They were apart for several days, could even be weeks, before she finally decided to believe him.

And I believe Do Ha felt her sincerity when she said it while looking at him with those firm eyes. He never saw those before, not even from his own Mother. So, I guess, that's that.

For real though. It's not even considered selfless.

But considering Kangmin's mental state at the time--- he was busy building his future with Solhee when suddenly he got diagnosed with Cancer and at Stage 3 at that, plus knowing her family issues on her shoulders,
I kinda understand why he chose to be quiet about it.

It seemed like he didn't expect to recover from it. He was preparing himself to die alone. He thought that was a more noble way to go.

I also like that part in ep 8 where Solhee finally heard
from Kang Min himself that he was sick even while they were still together.

Unlike most of us who expected her to be angry at him for hiding the truth, not trusting her enough, Solhee just cried heartbreakingly for the Kang Min she once loved.
She felt guilty for not noticing, for failing to do her part in the relationship.
Indeed, it takes two to tango in breakups.

Kang Min was truly written for this very purpose and I'm glad he's a well-written SML.

It just goes to show he's not really in it for the whole ride. Marriage is literally for better or for worse, in sickness and in health... Kang Min couldn't abide by those.

Was considering this too (especially after that WTH plot twist in It's Okay Not To Be Okay), but after ep 8, I realized that Do Ha has good ears for voices.
He recognized his ex's brother's voice right away, despite just hearing it through a phone call.
There is no way he wouldn't recognize his ex's voice if she were Syaon.


P.S. My then points as to why Syaon could be the missing ex are the ff:
- she's toxic and obsessed with Do Ha, just like the ex
- she's reckless when it involves getting Do Ha's attention--- the fake injury and fake suicide attempt
- she was overweight for idol standards; well, if you're not trained to become an idol, weight might be an issue
- it was emphasized in the series that she looks like the ex
- while her claim as to how she knew about Do Ha's real identity (news of the murder case) seems plausible, it would also seem fake

That's sadly what most C-dramas lack. I'd usually get that good storyline in fantasy epic genres though but they take at least 25 eps to keep the plot moving.

Kang Min, as much as how kind you may seem, I'd still choose Do Ha over you.
I'd rather have someone who wouldn't hide me from the truth, no matter how painful it may be, than to have someone who lies about being okay just to make me feel good.

I'd rather have someone who spends his time discussing about trivial things of day to day with me, than have someone who speaks about building a future together but couldn't even share his challenges with me.

Your poor communication skills and mistrust on Solhee's capability to withstand trials with you makes you a walking red flag, Kang Min-ah.

Nope, if I were the FL, I should have pointed out how he misjudged me, and did not trust me enough, his then fiancee, to share his burdens with. If the Writer added that part, I would have clapped.

I really love how this drama seems simple yet rich at the same time. It's obvious that the Writer took a lot of time developing the characters, especially the lead roles. They're multi-dimensional, in a way. You could also follow their thought process which makes the series easier to grasp than other shows.

And that white dress with blue pants too 😭😭😭
I love Sohyun but it seems that her stylist has been too stuck in her sageuk dramas that she can't style her properly in modern clothes. 🥹

I also theorized that she could be the CEO's wife, but when I rewatched ep 2, I just noticed that his wife was shown on the vid call and looked and sounded nothing like the ex.
I just hope his concern for Doha/Seung Ju is sincere and he truly considers him his friend.
