I thought the same when I started, it was distracting, but the plot was interesting and had good reviews, so I put up with it and don’t regret it 🙂 btw you’ll get used to the voice lol

I think that in this case, she is not purposefully creating a whiny voice to sound like a child like in other dramas, I believe this is what she actually sounds like, and in that case there’s not much that can be done 🙂

He is not her brother 🙂 and they have no family relation, although she does see him as a “brother” for most of the drama.

Yes, it’s definitely the line delivery for me, her actual voice I don’t mind. Sje just sounds like she’s reciting lines instead of conversing. Oh I see, I haven’t seen her before.

Yes, it’s not so much her voice but the bit of monotonous tone she uses (but maybe she’s a new actress). I’ll give it a chance though.

Just on episode 1 and liking the aesthetics so far, but is it just me or does the FL sound just a tid bit too rehearsed in her line delivery and not very natural in conversation? I’m guessing I’ll either get used to it or she’ll get better as it progresses.

Agree, “douyin” style makeup seems a little excessive for a drama. I hope it’s not becoming a trend to bring it over from social media to dramas.

That’s because they gave her “douyin” makeup, which is meant to make the person look very doll like. It’s a popular Chinese social media trend, but I feel for a drama looks a little too much.

ohhh ok not sure if it’s such a good idea to watch then 🤔 since Go Ahead is one of my favorite dramas.

I told myself I’d stop watching these because as you forgot to add, 95% of the time the ML is shot to death at the end 😂 but here I am reading this synopsis because nothing I want to watch is out yet lol.

I thought as much, I’m still tempted to watch though, just because I know both of these actors can deliver.

Agreed. Recently aired drama had a great trailer but actual production failed to live up to it.
