This is REALITY (TRIGGER WARNING)
I'm not going to lie, I come to have expectations when I watch most BLs. I want to believe they all will end with the main couple getting together and living happily ever after. When I watched this I did not get a happily ever after, I got reality.
It started off like most series do. It had the same concepts: There's the Junior, Shin, who looks up to someone, maybe has some sort of feelings for them. Then the Senior, Keng, who is either hiding his feelings and sexuality but as soon as he meets the Junior, he realizes he can't fight it anymore. There's also the friends, and this series definitely has the good friends and the bad friends. The good friends who support you and fight for you, Pramote and Bright, and the bad friends, AKA Man, who do things that make everything worse.
Episode 1 had me thinking it was a normal series. There was the awkward moments, and the scenes where you think "Oh they might hug" or "Oh they might kiss". But there is also the story line behind the main couple that shows the jealousy and anger of rejected love. Man was jealous because he saw the way Keng looked at Shin, and instead of being a good friend and being understanding he decided to use social media to force Keng to come out as gay. Not exactly the way you want to get someone to accept your feelings. The result of social media is what starts this train wreck. The "effect" faceless people on the internet have is astounding. And as a result, Shin starts to step back from his relationship from Keng.
Episode 2... now this episode started out showing the consequences of social media. What else could Shin do but step back. But his friends supported him. (BEST FRIENDS EVER) They stood by him while social media crucified him because he was a "nobody" while Keng was "popular". I won't lie, at this point, I was hoping that Keng and Shin would talk it out and remain friends at the least. So coming up to the end of the episode, when Keng was at Shin's house and they were talking, I was very unprepared for the results. For Shin to step out of his comfort zone and be honest about his feelings was good and should have been received with understanding... but Keng, already having his own issues concerning family and feelings did not receive it well at all. And sometimes that is the reality. You won't get someone who UNDERSTANDS, and if they already have their own mental health issues you ARE going to get anger and resentment. Keng response was horrible and also a little sad. When he raped Shin and afterwards told him he loved him... God that broke my heart, because to me it showed that he really didn't understand AT ALL.
Episode 3 was also a hard one. This episode showed the aftermath of the rape and once again how social media still made a VICTIM INTO A PERPETRATOR. Faceless people on the internet had their own opinions about things they just didn't know. Sad but true reality. How do you force yourself to speak up when no one wants to listen and all you want to do is fade away. Shin attempted suicide was heartbreaking, because WHAT ELSE COULD HE DO? In his mind, there was nothing left... I do have to say though, that his friends and his parents were the best support system anyone is this world could ever have. They supported him and defended him, through everything. They also didn't try to tell him to get over it. They just said they would be there for him to lean on. THAT is the BEST support you could ever get.
I won't spoil the ending though in case anyone else is reading this. I did very much enjoy it though.
If my kids were older I would let them watch this, because it gives a view on how rape just isn't male-female, it can be same sex. It shows that even behind closed doors, no one is perfect, there's always going to be someone out there who wants what they can't have. That mental health issues are real! Even if you can't see it, even if you don't think someone can have it, even if they tell you it's all in your head... it's real. And also that social media can be a platform for bullying, rumors and hatred. Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's real. Use your words wisely.
10/10 would watch again , but honestly I'm going to have to wait awhile.

SO AMAZING!
This is the first ever BL I watched. I just happened to come across a small part of this on TikTok and was hooked immediately. Now going into this show I had no idea what it was about. I did not look anything up, I didn't know who the actors were, I had never even heard of BL series before I watched this.
So in the beginning, when Type first says he hates gays, I honestly didn't know where this story was going until his friend Techno came in saying his roommate was gay. This series took off fast with Type trying to shove Tharn out because he hated him for being gay. Tharn's counterattack was epic. And you know when the music dropped that things were about to get real. Ha ha. I'll admit, I was a little put out that he was so biased and we didn't even know why... until Type got sick and he had his nightmare... I had a inkling of the issue but didn't want to assume.
Needless to say when it came out he was molested, I cried along with him. The fact that even though Tharn knew Type hated him, he still comforted him. Then those other gay characters interfered and things got crazy, but Tharn once again stepped in and helped.
I won't continue to add spoilers. All I have to say, is that the acting was amazing. I could literally feel the emotions like to was happening to me, it was that good. The music, the story, the whole dang production of this series was amazing. I also enjoyed how they added in the goofy little noises and everything with certain scenes that made it that much better.
I've already watched this series 3 times in the month since I started, so yes, 10/10 would watch again. I hope everyone else enjoys it.

It was meh...
I didn't know what to expect as I started watching this, but it was not half as bad as some other comments made it out to be.First off, the acting was pretty good considering the cast. Honestly, I didn't recognize anyone from other shows I;ve watched. But they all did a fantastic job portraying their characters.
The story wasn't bad either. A little confusing what with that half blind boy and his jerk of a father, but I'm assuming that had something to do with why Yong Joon didn't wand Tae Kyu to have the toy gun. The 18+ scenes were explicit as hell but they just added more to the story.
Would I rewatch this? Probably not. It wasn't bad but for me it wasn't epic enough to keep me coming back. Maybe once in a blue moon.

Better than most!
OK, so when I started watching this I was not expecting it to be so good. The acting was actually really great, considering some of the actors were beginners.I know that Chinese censorship ends up turning BL romances into Bromances, so as I watched this and realized that it had MORE... well I was doubly impressed. The resentment in the beginning were your basic emotions when new marriage and siblings are thrown into the mix. The acting was great in this sense.
Honestly I was so into it I noticed that as the feelings started to change, the characters just seemed more real to me. That slow slide into love was amazing. I liked how Gu Hai never questioned his feelings and he was so open about what he wanted. Yes he was pushy and a little overbearing but I think that made the character more personable. Bai Luo Yin's character was really great too, in the sense that, even though he fought it at first, he gave in. Now that scene was very well done and the music they used made it even better.
10/10 would watch again. I really hope they get a chance to make a second season

Not bad
So, I'm not gonna lie, I would have preferred the story be about how the 2 men fall in love, not how the girl took over the other guys body. It made me kind of mad/sad that the entire time this girl was trying to get her boyfriend to fall in love with her again, when it could have been a love story about how she died and then they fell in love.On that note though, it was a very good show. I did enjoy the backstory and the end result. The actors were cute together and their characters were played out well. I would watch this again eventually.
