Yalll… I really hate the second male lead..
Actually me too
I'm almost skipping all of his appearances. I don't know the leads story is so powerful that everytime he shows on the screen it feels so annoying. But he's a good person that's why I'm a bit sorry to him😂

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
"Hee-soo, I will no longer be separated from you and spend the rest of my life with you." These words and the…
Actually Korean drama likely has an unspoken rule to not have a clear ending, it's up to the viewers. From my point of view, actually the writer leaved some hints.
- The reason why Heesoo takes more time to meet Yi In.
- The question Heesoo asked to Yi In "Why Your Highness still being alone?"
I mean Yi In desperately want to keep Heesoo by his side as an official wife but he knows more than anyone else that Heesoo is free spirit but in another side he keeps the Queen position empty (that's what I get from Heesoo's question as mention above)
Maybe Heesoo always know what Yi In want from her (she once said that he can read Yi In like a textbook) that's way she deliberately going around first, become a free spirit for last time before chose to be trapped in palace as his offical wife. I wonder what's the reason Heesoo didn't come back asap although she missed him so much.

Question though, what would you have done in that situation when the king said those sentences?1. Come out from…
It's all summarized my point. Thank you.
One thing that makes the FL isn't likeable beside the scriptwriter didn't give some justices to her is likely the actress itself doesn't know how to summarized 'Heesoo' emotion to one conclusions.
Also if the king was portrayed by other actors it's more easy to find his flaws but because JJS geniously process all of his motivation and emotion, he looks better.

No in reality it's not as easy as you think. One thing that comes first in yourself is disappointment. It's a big disappointment. Because she was in dilemma, she also confessed that actually she was trying to believe him and then came one fact that you're wrong. Nothing is in your mind except disappointment.
And I'm only highlight why she was on dilemma not about her action in overall.

I agree that female lead is looks like she just causing some troubles so the king will solves them. But somehow…
And I just want that everyone watch this series without any prejudice or directly jump to conclusions. Just try to give some chances to them. If it's disappointing then it's unfortunate, but what if it's actually not that bad but because our pre-judgement and a setted mindset, it get worser than it should be?
Because beside a not so good FL or unlogical Myungha, Dalha, this drama still has right to be appreciated.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
I agree that female lead is looks like she just causing some troubles so the king will solves them.
But somehow I can understand why she was in dilemma after she heard the conversation between principal director and the king. Please remember Heesoo isn't us who know everything about what happened in the drama. She once has a faith on him and he did betray her. The king also hasn't took time yet to explain what really happened three years ago. When she started to gain some faith on him, she heard those sentences. When the king was still a grand prince, she captivated by him so much and then get betrayed without explanation until now. Now he looks really sincere on her then it's happened again. It's like a trauma on her behalf.

For me, I don't blame her because "how can she couldn't know that the king is lying" because if I were her I will doubt him too because I'm not the 3rd person. It's just so unfortunate that the king said that when Heesoo was there.

Can someone remind me, I know the King wants the tree revived but what does it represent? Well, that was an excellent…
When Jinhan went to Qing, the late king planted a tree for him. Jinhan continues to write mails to FL's father and he told him about the growth of the tree like it once bloomed, etc. Jinhan even painted it and looks so happy.

Was today’s episode any good? I’ve not had a chance to watch it yet
It's good. Better than ep 9-10. You can witness Jo Jungseok acting is insanely good and how sincere he is as the king. There's conversation between Dalha and Heesoo and it explained what's really going in their head (the detailed story why they were disappointed to the king)

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
So I have a theory guys
I don't know if the drama staffs really care about the english title but here we go.
People who watched this drama, it's easy to notice the lines that stand out the most.
"To wish for life when you love them and death when you hate them. Wishing them to live while wishing them to die. Such a paradox of fickleness. That is what it means to be captivated."
The late king was captivated, also I think that Yi In will go the same route but as the main theme of the drama, he is supposed to be captivated by Hee Soo or that ministers or else. But he is damn falling in love with her THAT BAD. He's professional of course, he can separated his private life from his country matters. I swear even Hee Soo betrayes him so much he won't hate her and wishing her to die.
So what if this drama is actually want to show that Hee Soo is the one who was captivated? Like we all agreed that she was so stupid and lack of motivation to make a big revenge. At first, I personally love(d) her personality because despite the bad rumors was all around Grand Prince Jinhan, she keeps her faith on him and even said a very logical opinion to defend him. Is she even the same person? It's so obvious that the main criminal wasn't the King. So if we concluded what if she is the one who was captivated, it's just making sense for me. She does loves him but she does hates him. There are lot of fickleness in her behaviors. Captivated by who?

At least, it can proves that the scriptwriter is not that stupid LOL.

Hmmm that character development or they explained his character in 7th ep. Now it's making sense for him to behave like that. He's just professional in his field but yeah with a lot of temper. But for me as a subordinate in my company, it's better to have a boss with temper but he's capable and a lot make sense compared to he's mad all time but know nothing

I watched the first ep and the ML had 0 charisma, I thought maybe it could get better but to spare my time I went…
I thought the same but bear it until 6th or 7th episode. His coldness is making sense now, he's just professional not tsundere for no reason. Trust me

I'm quite surprised that most of people feel annoyed with FL's behavior. Compare to FL the ML's character is way more annoying. I never feel as disgusting as this before. It's better they build that "CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT" as soon as possible. Because right now he is a real jerk😂

You haven't watched the original and you said this?
Even in exact study, they teach you don't generalize something with a sample.
I'm okay with this remake but it doesn't mean that there aren't something off with this work. There are lot but I will give you one sample that stand out the most.
The original version really highlight 98 vibe (school era)
The remake version looks like a reguler school drama in 2020s. There's no different with Extraordinary You, School 2021, True Beauty and etc.

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
I'm fans of the original version and satisfied with this remake. They really put effort on it and the cast and…
1. In the original, they missed the birthday for second time. They have a sequence when GJH (HYX) in the lift and the door continously open in every floor (her age) to show how they spent the birthday together.
2. GJH found the photo of three because she tried a trial app made by her colleague by inputing GYJ (WQS) information to it and this photo is showing (not send by NSH by Instagram dm; actually I don't know why they decided to this because it makes the story destiny-less or I don't find the answer yet haha)
3. In the original, there was an iconic sequence. GJH tried a VR and setted on attending a mini concert. This is the first time she show her true emotion. She cried miserably while hugging GYJ who stay focus in the concert and tapping her head. Her crying sound gradually louder as time goes bby.
4. In the second time when GJH back to 1998, in the original the actual order was:
GHJ saw a sentence in diary book then she decided to back to 98. She was searching for GYJ while showing what was written here. She found GYJ in rooftop watching the b**bs from the girls in the yard. That's why GJH was really annoyed.
5. In the original GJH tried really hard to forget GYJ by doubting his sincerity. Like questioning who is the girl liking all their photo together and instead it leads her to a new fact that he was supposed to propose her in the way to airport.
6. When KMJ (CYR) ran away from home and mad with her parent, it's because they were throwing to each other who will take her (not only discussing her younger brother but herself).

I'm fans of the original version and satisfied with this remake. They really put effort on it and the cast and crew nailed it really, it's like I was watching an another version if this 'destined-couple' happened in another place.
But, I don't know other fans or it's only me. I really love the original version because they put everything so rational and nothing exaggerated. 'This world' becomes relatable to me and I can grasp the emotion more.
Indeed, the setting choices of ATCY was really beautiful and eye-candy but at the same time I felt like they attend a really prestigious school while 1998 was collapse everywhere because of financial crisis.
So, if you like ATCY, I recommended you to check out the original version because they more detailed on it. (I really don't know how can this could happened). They had the best OST ever. But I like Beautiful Restrictions from New Jeans!
I will put some details that have been removed by ATCY in spoiler tag below. It's small thing (but not for me) but it's indeed adding some layers to the story and that's how SOOD linger in may heart in a very special space.
