I don't understand why it is such a big deal. How is that any different from any other person, who, say, works…
I feel like you are looking for a problem, where there's none. They said "some" of the clothes were his, not all of them. Yes, if he was actually fully responsible for character design, that would be weird, but I don't think that's what they meant. It was probably more of "I have this shirt, maybe it would work" kind of thing. And he probably went home in those clothes after shooting too, it would be just weird to bring them back for washing.

Ha, ha, ha! I'm watching an old interview with XZ, from back in the days of Jade Dynsty 1's release, and XZ said…
I don't understand why it is such a big deal. How is that any different from any other person, who, say, works an office job? You dress up for work, put your clothes in the hamper at the end of the day and then wash them, when you have time. He said he will wash his own clothes to Na Ying, when she started joking about taking care of all his needs during Our song. And in the interview for Jade dynasty he was very surprised that people think that for 28 year old man to wash his own clothes is so amazing. And, honestly, I agree with him. He's an adult. Sure now he's making more money and probably can send his laundry to some professional company, but back then who else was gonna do his laundry? Mom?

I am at ep 24..Till now San San character is so annoying. I dont like her character at all
God, I hated Sansan. She's probably the worst type of friend you can have: butts in where no one asks her, projects her own bad experiences onto other people's relationships and when her friend actually asks her for help she's either not there or her only solution is to get you drunk

I hope C-drama writers can change their standard plot of "not telling or sharing your problem" but instead either…
I do agree that the whole not talking thing is a pretty typical plot device in c-dramas, but here it felt a little different. There was a little bit of "men don't talk about their problems, they though it out" in there (which is pretty realistic actually, when it comes to men raised in conservative families). But also, I think he panicked, like real seriously broke down and didn't know what to do, while not wanting to burden anyone. So, imo, it works here. But of course everyone has their preferences :)

So I finally had the time to finish this and write my thoughts down, I don't think I'll do the whole review.
In my experience modern c-dramas tend to fall into two categories "light hearted but very very typical" (as in knight in shining armor saving a somewhat dumb and childish damsel in distress" or "very serious, to the point of being painful to watch". This one is, surprisingly a little bit of both and while FL is a little childish and ML is a little too perfect in the beginning, it was still very enjoyable and didn't at all feel like any of the plotlines were forced or out of place. I can't say I liked all the characters (FL's friends are toxic, they are the worst people you can go to for relationship advice), but I did enjoy this overall and was interested from start to finish.
The chemistry between the leads is amazing, and when they said that a lot of scenes were impovized, I was not surprised at all, all of their interactions looked so natural.
It's a fun drama with a little bit of melodrama put in between lighthearted moments, that leaves you with a good feelings and positive emotions.
So thumbs up from me, would even watch again, just without English subs to practice my rusty Chinese.

Is there anyone else that doesn't like the father at all? I'm in the first 6 episodes and sure he loves the FL…
Mama Lin deserves a medal there, she is probably the most sane and level headed person in the whole drama lol

There's also one very important thing people forget about, when throwing blame around. They've known each other…
I really tried to understand her point of view and if it was not for her deciding to literally end their relationship then and there, I wouldn't have any problems. But he just went through the second most traumatic period of his life (was still going through it) and she just turns him away? Yes he did clam up, he did wrong by her, but that was just such a childish reaction. First sign of difficulty and she drops him like yesterday's socks. I expected her to tell him she needs time to reassess or something, not... that. And it was also so obvious that a big part of it was her toxic friends influence. I mean, Sansan is probably worse than the jealous ex, with her interfering and petty advice based on her own bad experiences.

Also that part about "internet outrage almost ending his career", I was thinking "thank God he filmed it before the 2020 blow out". But also "I wonder, is that how it went in real life too?". He looked so helpless, sh*t, I wanted to smash the screen.

My mom did the exact same thing as Teacher Lin the first time I brought a boyfriend home, if you can imagine. Granted we were moving in together, but we were only dating for two months. And she drops the bomb. Watching that scene, I was getting flashbacks. And you know what else? My bf then gave the exact same answer as Gu Wei "marriage is serous thing bla bla bla", that part, not the last part obviously. So double the flashbacks. It was so embarrassing. The whole time watching I was looking at Lin ZhiXiao and thinking "you poor baby, just though it out" LOL

TV version has 32 episodes, but the content is the same, they are just shorter

Ok, I get what you are talking about. She should not have shut him out like that afterwards. Like, I get why she is angry. Thought the situation was traumatic for him, if he clams up like that any time there is a problem (big or small) it's not possible for their relationship to work. She feels that he didn't trust her, I understand where she's coming from. Guess it's a personal experience, I dated a "Gu Wei" once, it didn't last. It's impossible to be in a relationship when your boyfriend does not rely on you in any way.
But turning him away in revenge afterwards is way too childish. She's angry with him for not communicating and then goes and does exactly that. They really need to learn that communication is key. So again, I think they just got unlucky that something so difficult happened so early in their relationship. And pushing parents did not help. I mean wtf with asking about marriage when they barely started dating.

Hahah, i like how people compare their wedding with real wedding between Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin)))
I can only applaud the producers for how comfortable and natural they made it look. I betcha they were having an actual party there, even it was not a wedding one lol

After watching the entire situation go down between LZX & Gu Wei - the only thing I can say is that I am pretty…
There's also one very important thing people forget about, when throwing blame around. They've known each other for what couple of months and dating even less than that? It takes time for people to build relationships. We can't expect him to readily trust that she will support and help him, when they had so little time together and she is so young, and let's be honest here, immature in a lot of ways. But we also can't expect her to read his mind or try again and again when he pushes her away or brushes her off. There's only so much humiliation a person will be willing to go through, even for someone they love.
Imo, this was a communication problem and the only way to solve it, is time to get to know each other and build trust.

So I will say my 2 cents on GW and LZX too based on episode 24 DVD. Gu Wei had a human reaction to what happened…
I have to disagree with you here. Yes it's true, that with the situation Gu Wei was in, he was really not in a mental state to react to things normally or give clear explanations. But LZX is not a mind reader. They have known each other for what... couple of months? Where would she even start guessing what's wrong? And why would she call the hospital? We see the situation from outside and it seems obvious what's going on, but imaging you are in her place and your boyfriend acts that way. What, are you immediately going to call his work to ask what happened? Is that even appropriate? She asked him what's wrong and if he does not answer and starts distancing himself from her, she can try to salvage things once twice, but relationship is a two way road and if one person doesn't meet you halfway, there's only so much you can do.
That is not to say I blame Gu Wei, as you said he was in a really bad place and was not acting rationally. But he needs to ask for help. When you push people away repeatedly, they will eventually listen to you. And again considering that their relationship is new and she is very young, expecting her to always understand him and be his rock like a wife of many years, is bit to much, I think.
Different people, different views, though :)

this drama is ruining my novel experience. for me personally this was a bad adaptation.draggy and for the sake…
I understand your point of view, as I also like feel good low conflict things to watch most of the time. But I can't imagine a lot of people would be interested in watching something that has no conflict and where everyone is nice all the time, and producers have to think about popularity first. What would they even do for 29 episodes? Be cute and sappy? LOL

Can anyone tell me ....will they remove drama after airing all episodes on tencent or it will remain available…
They will probably open episodes for non vip schedule one by one and then, after all episodes are open they will make all of them vip agaon, except like first two. At least that's what Tencent does lately with popular dramas.

Gao Xi arc has closed beautifully!
Yes, I even felt a little bad for her, because the whole thing was so public. But only a little, she never discouraged those comments and jokes about her and GW, being delusional is not an excuse. It's good that the final conversation was final, hope she won't come back with some attempt at vengeance or something LOL

So, I finally had the time to catch up a little, to ep 17. And I really like the way this is going so far. Even…
Honestly, aside from the part where SJ was asking for Lin laoshi medical history, I didn't find anything wrong with his suggestion to go abroad to seek medical advice. What I did find annoying, was that LZX once again started making decisions about her fathers health based on her personal feelings about GW. It was just like first episodes all over again. And Gao Xi even did the good thing by reminding her, that for Gu Wei, patients are more important than his reputation.
The asking for medical history part, though, was like pulling teeth. SJ being a stubborn idiot about it, fine, annoying, but expected. But GX should know better, if it comes out that GW just gives out patients private information to anyone who asks, it could turn into a disaster. Jealous or not, she should understand that.
All of it being said, imo, FL's friends are 10 times more annoying then those two. Literally inviting themselves to their First date and when she actually asks for help immediately abandoning her, wtf?! I like Sansan's stubbornness and dedication, but her butting into her friend's relationship, while she can't deal with the mess of her own love life is ridiculous.
And literally as soon as GW and LZX were left alone, all of the tension and awkwardness went away. They were so cute there during the fireworks. Sure they are both inexperienced and a little awkward, but they did not need other people telling them what to do.

So, I finally had the time to catch up a little, to ep 17. And I really like the way this is going so far. Even Shao Jiang and Gao Xi are not as annoying as I expected them to be. Tbh, it's probably after reading the comments I expected the worst, so with my expectations being so low it was not hard to improve on them LOL Idk if what I'm going to say next would be spoilery or not, so to be safe I'll just put it under the spoiler.

Can anyone tell the ending conversation between her father and dr. Gu? https://youtu.be/L7ssoce1AbI
Dad asked him when are they going to get married. And Gu Wei said that right now he can't give him the promise he wants.
