It is because a lot of folks compare it to TFF (including me xD), well i don't think they're wrong, isn't it? Both characters do have some same traits, they suffer because of their family and has a guy who is head over heels for them. Others just wanted to emphasize the characters a lil bit more sooo it goes down to this i guess....

Definitely true. TFF and L&P has a better plot writing which makes it a top tier!! but i didn't enjoy TFF that much because it felt so slow sometime (sorry don't hate me 😭). So even though NES might be written poorly i still enjoyed it somehow because it start strong and that keeps me hooked until the end.

Done watching. I'll give it a 9, definitely one of the best C-Dramas this 2026! Typical tropey drama like what we can see from L&P, TFF, and S&L though some might argue because of the well written plot for those mentioned dramas. Not the best for those looking for a realistic drama, i mean it start so good up until in the mid part but the end was kinda fast i guess, they got back so easily because the guys is such a massive yearner. Some misunderstanding were not properly tackled so i think the plot could've been written better but atleast romance is good and they are cute as hell. I personally love the story so definitely gotta rewatch this someday. PS: Plot twist in the end is unexpected but lovely.

I think it is reasonable though? Her grandma is the only one she have and her grandma literally collapse and got hospitalized thinking she could've died so i don't think she'll had the willpower to take that exam. And as for leaving him i still get it though..... The guy has done so much and almost died because of her and she's on a peer pressure because of his grandpa (on a realistic standpoint i think it could still be resolved lol but this is c-drama so ofcourse she'll leave him haha). The only thing that doesn't make sense is the way she leave him i think haha its sad and funny at the same time.

Hmm idk how to exactly explain but i don't like heavy business stuffs as well because it gets me bored but on this one even though it has that element i didn't feel any of that maybe because it was romance/revenge focused rather than casual business type of things that we see in other cdrama.

Yeah feels like we were robbed 😭. I saw an upcoming drama here in MDL way back 2022-2023 which include Jing Yi and Arthur (but they're not a cp) but seems like just a rumor or it got cancelled so it just disappear. I wish we could have them back 🥲.

I still remember i don't think if its a humor or not but i read it somewhere else that there's supposed to be a fan meet after L&P ended way back 2022 and supposed to happened on Dec 28, 2022 (on LZ and ZY's wedding anniversary) but didn't happened because of casts busy sched they said😭🥲 .

I don't know how it won't work lol but it is a common thing. And secretly dating is just to protect each other most likely. It is like a normal thing particularly when it comes to kpop. There are companies that require their idols to be banned for dating for a few years and to the extent that they also won't allow them to have mobile phones so this pretty much like a contract and even if that contract lifts they tend not to date or secretly date because of the delusional fans would prolly attack him/her and their gf/bf. Usually they only reveal their relationship when proper time comes and that most likely will happen to Joon and Doona.

Yeah episode 1 got me hooked up. Darn it i still remember on episode 1 when Zhu Yun was on the cafe and she suddenly saw Li Xun for the first time after 3 years and she immediately run to find him😭 it was so emotional even though you didn't know what happened between them on the past.

It is kinda open ending. But if you were to interpret the scenes correctly we can assume they were dating secretly. 😁

It really depends on you. But for me i both watch L&P and Hidden Love i do love both but L&P is way way better. This one also slow burn and there's a big difference between the male leads. I suggest watch sa trailers/clips/fmv's if you'll like it.

Yeah i think it's because most manhwa usually follows what is on the novel. Meanwhile, for the drama adaptation they usually remove some parts that they think kind of inappropriate or absurd for some of the audience.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. You can search the manhwa on your browser just search "Lighter and Princess manhwa" so far it only had 3 chapters and has not been updated for a years now. The art style is pretty good but i don't know if the problem was with the eng translators or with the main creators i don't why it suddenly stop. But for the meantime there is also a donghua/anime version which is available at yt. Donghua version is still decent and so far it only follows season 1.
