Hello there! My name is Emma, I'm 23 years old at the moment, and I'm from a small European country called the Netherlands. But here's some more information about me since I apparently like oversharing. I'm a dog mother to a thirteen-year-old terrier called Lucky, who loves to act like a puppy rather than the actual grandpa he is. I'm also majoring in English Language and Culture & minoring in Education (soon I will be an actual English teacher). Not only am I an avid watcher of K-dramas and dramas overall, but I'm also a huge nerd/fangirl. I sometimes dabble in cosplay too. Other information about me is that I'm a feminist, a Slytherin, queer, an avid reader, and into both musicals and k-pop.
♡ My Firsts From Each Country ♡
I started watching K-dramas in 2019, but I really got into Korean dramas in 2020 (that's the year where I lowkey became obsessed with them). Since 2019 I have also started watching some C-dramas, but I still have a long way to go when it comes to calling myself an avid watcher of C-dramas. 2019 was also the year when I discovered Taiwanese shows, which are my favorite when it comes to BL dramas. Besides, since 2020 & 2021 I have also dabbled into some Japanese and Thai shows. In short: I mainly watch Korean dramas but I occasionally also watch Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, or Thai dramas. Recently I have also gotten into Korean cinema.

♡ My Other Passion Besides Watching Asian Dramas: Reading ♡
As you can see by the title of this section one of my greatest hobbies and passions in life is reading. I have almost always been an avid reader, besides the year when I was 7 or 8 when I did not like reading. When I was around that age I did not like reading simply because of my middle school. My school thought the only way to learn how to read was by forcing the kids to read out loud, which was something I absolutely DESPISED (reading out loud is still something to this day that I dread, lol). Not even a year later I suddenly became an avid reader when I discovered how much fun it could be if you did not have to read a story out loud. Ever since then there was not a time I was not madly in love with reading. I also started to review every book I read around 2016/2017 on the site Goodreads.com. I like to read every genre from romance to non-fiction to young adult to fantasy to historical fiction to plays to dystopian to comics to thrillers to literary fiction to graphic novels to science fiction to horror. Some of my favorite books are: Heartstopper by Alice Oseman, Pachinko by Lee Min Jin, Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, Kim Jiyoung Born 1989 by Cho Nam Joo, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

♡ My Favorite K-Pop Groups/Artists ♡
I love k-pop but I'm not your average or typical k-pop lover. When it comes to my taste in music I tend to be super-picky and difficult. Not everything fits into my very peculiar and specific music tastes. At times I myself don't even know why I love a certain song, but absolutely despise the next. Even my fellow k-pop friends are not surprised anymore if I hate one of their favorite songs since that happens much more frequently than me loving one of their faves. That said there are of course some artists and groups that I absolutely adore in the k-pop industry. I'm also really into K-drama OSTS. Lastly, my ultimate group is BTS, which is the only ¨basic thing¨ about my music taste.
