Wholesomely Beautiful

Watching it feels like being a kid. It's beautiful and wholesome.

It started with a storytelling, the same method used on Memories of Matsuko. I noticed a Disney reference but not Disney at all, it's more like Tetsuya's style. I love the colorfull display, the fantasy like musics, humorous comedy, and the well performed dramatic acting perfomances. Even though it's more a comedy at first, it doesn't help me to hold my tears at the first 40 minutes. I've connected myself to the film that I understand each characters and their reason for being.

Onuki who's arrogant, selfish, violent and doesn't like people to know him suddenly wanted to be remembered by a little girl which can't remember him. It's beautiful how Onuki desperately trying to remain in the Paco's heart and instead managed to remain in the heart of everyone.

I was so down that I decided to watch movies and ended up with this film and it helped me to cheer up.

I was moved when Onuki asked the doctor.

why I can't stop crying even though I never cried since when I was a child?

The doctor answered:

It's easy, just cry a lot it will stop.

ESPECIAL MENTION
Koji Yakusho and Jun Kunimura performances are beyond excellent.
