a cultural reset if you ask me

Short, sweet and beautiful are the first words that pop in my mind if someone where to ask me my thoughts on this drama.

The story as simple as it is still manages to keep your interest but is easy to watch, something that i greatly appreciate. nothing felt out of place or rushed out like most short korean bls, in reality it didn't even feel short. I truly enjoyed myself from start to finish. I find simple and honest stories like this very charming.

The characters are all fairly well written, especially the mcs, everyone plays a part on the story but it didn't feel like anyone was there just to move the plot forward (at least from the important characters). there were also times i whole heartedly laughed at their interactions, expected from korea tho. the acting fairly good too !!

The love between the mcs felt gradual and natural, seojoon is like a little golden retriever and jiwoo is like a grumpy cat, a perfect pair imo. their dynamic is adorable and i loved all of their scenes together, even the upsetting ones. the chemistry is definitely there too, truly makes you think about how lonely and sad you are lmao.

im not really one to talk about the technical side but i can humbly say that it was also filmed beautifully and the ost was really good as well.

i don't really have anything bad to say about this, except that maybe there are a scene or two we could live without and that i got confused like once while watching but it was something very minor so like who cares.

an amazing step up for korea too ;D

12000% gay peep approved !!

fighting evil, overthrowing the goverment and other extreme sports

what is there not to like really?

with a set of amazing and well written characters and outstanding work from a wonderful cast this is a set up to add more people in your favourite drama characters list. The story takes you on an emotional roller coaster, getting to know the characters, learning their motives and behaviours and watching them work hard to reach their goals no matter how many obstacles get in their way. It also gives yet another insight on political injustice, corruption and how rich people deserve to be burned.

The action is great as well as the special effects and the plot is good. Comedic relief is definitely there and it's hilarious. There's also like minimum romance which for some would be a drawback but the friendship developed between the characters is just so pure and beautiful there's nothing to complain about. Lots of great character development that makes you feel like a proud parent too.

There were times where conversations would get long and boring but i skimmed through them so i can't really speak on that lol. Nevertheless, it's one of the only dramas that i managed to keep up to perfectly while still on going and not forget about it or lose interest half-way (which happens often to me, with completed dramas too, just check my watchlist lol).

I 100% recommend, it's family friendly too. maybe prepare tissues (?)

words can't express how beautiful this is.

gaya sa pelikula is a show i randomly stumbled upon on youtube and i can't begin to explain how glad i am i did. from the plot, to the acting, to the messages it wants to convey, everything is executed perfectly, not to mention the also hilarious moments at the beginning of the show. the dialogue is natural and realistic with every single line tugging at your heart strings or leaving u roll on the floor laughing. as a queer person who was watched plently bls, this ones is unmatched, i would go as far as to say that it doesn't deserve to be called that. it portrays the lgbt community in the most realistic and best way. i would geniunely recommend it to queer people and those who want to understand the lgbt community better. but it doesn't only focus on the lgbt community as it dabbles in other realist scenarios and issues of current society. i especially appreciate how they wrote the female characters, every each one of them was unique and well written with their own struggles and aspirations and not just there as a prop to move the plot. and lastly i want to talk about the little messages at the end of each episode because the validation i felt was so overwelming i cried every single time. a must watch.

at least the lesbians were cute

ok well to start this off, it's way too short and sometimes that's not a bad thing but here it was so short that the plot was almost no existence, the timeline is incredibly confusing, the writing is pretty dry and the 15 minutes this lasted felt like utter confusion. this is obviously just like a small or personal project so i wasn't expecting much to begin with

but like the acting is decent and the camera work is pretty and simple. the girls were adorable together so i'll give them that. i guess if u are really bored it's a fine watch since it's so short.

beautiful insanity

I'll start this by making clear that i have not read the original webtoon so I'm writing with just the drama in consideration.

First of all this is definitely not for everyone. a lot of death, violence, gore and mentions of triggering things that even i, as someone who doesn't really get affected by these knowing it's fiction, had to take small breaks or look away. i guess what you'd expect from a horror, action focused drama.

Even so, this drama was so interesting and attention-grabbing i couldn't stop watching. The story is incredible and somehow, especially now with the pandemic and everything, felt real. Every single major (if not almost every) character is well written with intriguing back stories that reflect on their motives and behaviour and very easy to sympathize and get attached to. The way they interact with eachother feels realistic and the relationships built between them are natural. There's also big diversity in characters for everyone, even the characters that are written to be disliked in a way can be understood. The actors did an amazing job delivering the emotions of the characters and bringing every scene to life, which is exactly why you most likely won't survive watching this without balling your eyes out.

Suprisingly, unlike most kdramas, the comedic breaks are minimum which keeps you on your toes throughout the whole show and even when there are such breaks it doesn't fell like filler but rather an easier way to get to know the characters and their dynamics better.
The special effects and cgi were decent and looked mostly realistic and the camera work and setting gave a chilling and classic korean horror vibe. The ending also lives a big opening for a season 2 which I'm really hoping for.

All in all, this is a beautiful and heart tugging story of seeing tragic but powerful characters trying to survive and go through hardship after hardship yet still continue to fight, stay hopeful and not give up. Definitely a good watch.

A beautiful story of love and acceptance and yet something is missing.

As emotionally attached as i got to this drama and its characters this must be said lol

The story itself is so beautiful and touching. It's about self acceptance and finding love and trust amidst a scary society. I love how casual the fact that they're both men is made out to be. It doesn't focus much on the fact that it's a gay relationship but rather the fact that they are probe and mono. The universe building is great but due to the fact that it's such a short serie it can only go so much in depth. I personally didn't find major plot holes but there are things that could be better and further explained and other storylines that could be touched upon had there been the aproppriate time span or a few more episodes. But for the little time it was given, it delivered the best it possibly could.

The characters are great, easy to understand and sympathize and the dynamic and chemistry between them is funny and adorable. The comedic breaks are also well delivered in my opinion.

For the most part the acting was okay to good especially considering most of them are rookies but some lines didn't feel well delivered not only because of the acting but the writing too, yet it's not something you can't easily ignore and continue to enjoy the show.

Really the only thing that could make this drama better is some slight changes in the dialogue and slightly longer episodes or an additional 2. It's definitely worth watching and still very enjoyable even with it's flaws.

100% gets the gay peep approved stamp !!
