Having no expectations as this was my first time watching costume drama and my 2nd C-drama

First of all, I haven't finished to watch Legend of Yunxi, and not planning too, so I have no expectations on this drama at all
I gotta say that the chemistry of Female Lead and Male Lead were on fire, props to Ju Jingyi and Zhang Zhehan
It was so enjoyable to watch their chemistry despite how poor the writer's write the development between their relationship

Fu Rong's character was... I love her in the first ten episodes, okay maybe until before Liu Ruyi passed away, she was cute and endearing plus smart in the first 15 episodes, but after she get married with Xu Jin, she was so reckless, if it's not for Ju Jingyi, I don't think I would survive to watch this drama
Xu Jin or Duke Su character was kinda too good to be true, though I don't understand how or why he is falling in love with Fu Rong, perhaps it's because he is a righteous person and she always get dragged in a mess that haven't caused by her
I really love the relationship between Fu Rong and Xu Jin in the first 15 episodes, it was cute and light-hearted. But when they got married, it was kinda frustrating, sure they have some cute moments (esp when Cui Wan was between them) but most of the time it was pathetic since eps 28 until like half of eps 40, how could Fu Rong said to Fu Xuan that she and Xu Jin are in love but not acted like one, I mean they didn't trust each other enough. It feels like it's just Xu Jin who is in love with her but at the same times he didn't trust her enough

Xu Ping or Duke An, I don't really remember his character other than he was Fu Rong's childhood friend and he was obsessed with her, but at the same times if he is in love with Fu Rong, why would he let her marrying Xu Jin, let alone convincing the emperor to let them get married. I love him more in spin-off because he is cute there

Wu Bai Qi and Fu Xuan, well they're one package deal lol, it's hard not to mentioned them together, first of all, the reason I watch this drama is because of Kiki, and I ended up liking Wang Youshuo as well. Their relationship was the typical classic bad boy with some issues and sophisticated girl, I rarely watch dramas, let alone C-Drama, but I always love 2nd couple most of the time, and I gotta say that among all drama I've watch their relationship were the best written for 2nd couple. Not to mention the chemistry between Wang Youshuo and Kiki were also good. What I love the most about them are their mutual understanding and they always stand by each other side when one of them had their own breakdown.

I love the supporting characters especially the mothers Consort Shu and Madam Fu, the maids Lan Xiang and Bao Zhu, Xu Jin's right hands Ge Chuan and Xu Jia, Lord Fu and Fu Guan, also Guo Rui

For the villains, Consort Duan and her minions: Zhang Yao Chen, Xu Mao, Qi Zhu, attendant Chen. Also Qi Ce and Ding Peng
Well their motive as villains were not strong but they're annoying as f it was frustrating to watch them

Idk where to put Cui Wan, she was annoying as hell at first, but she always trust Xu Jin no matter what (things that Fu Rong kinda can not related at all), I'm glad she got her happy ending

OSTs for this drama were, chef's kiss
I really like 4 out of 5
Dream Crossing, Deep Feelings, Wish, and Ancient Painting
Ju Jingyi, Kiki, and Kong Xiaoyin really did well on their own perspective OST
And the BGM for this drama was also good

There are several plot holes, but honestly the drama was still enjoyable to watch
Would I rewatch the drama, well I still rewatching the drama but only for cute and interesting scenes
