Oh man, I was there for both wars, it was ugly and right next to the other dhsuihdus (I was team Dosan in start-up and team Seojoon in true beauty). But in both cases, the male leads had violent scenes or questionable actions. I don't think Uk and Yul will have that kind of ill feelings towards each other.

Well, it's not a matter of feeling threatened. In most cases the SLS gang starts attacking the ML or even the actor playing the ML (see what happened with True Beauty, it was dirty). People who likes/sympathizes with the ML start feeling protective of their fave. I really hope this doesn't happen with AoS, the story is so good, I don't want people to remember a ship war above everything else. If people could appreciate things without belittling other things, our society would be so much better.
One question...why do some of the male characters have modernly styled hair when this is supposedly a period drama?
AoS is not a period drama, it's high fantasy. Daeho doesn't exist in our world. It has an original lore created by the Hong sisters, there's nothing to do with Korean folklore or history.
