Yeah, I wouldn't apply our science to this story. They used ALCHEMY (there's magical dragon water involved) to switch souls, so technically the DNA was modified. I think it's correct to assume that Uk's father is both the king and the mage. His conception was prophesied for the king because Uk was destined to succeed him on the throne.
