Erase and change are different than aquiring memories of a dead body. Buyeon is a priestess not a shaman.

That never happened. Jin Mu did not shift their souls, he was not there when Naksu started the spell. We've seen him receiving an update on her situation from Gilju after Songrim got her body.
Also, Buyeon fell into the river when she was 10. Jin Mu believed she was dead.
