I feel that Day initiating the break up is him acknowledging Mhok's trauma, albeit to an extreme. This will help Mhok to grow into a better chef, for him to acknowledge that Rung's death was not his fault (just because he didn't pick up the phone) and for him to see himself less as a caretaker for Day, but as equals in a relationship. The break up will be a necessary catalyst for these!

Thank you! And more than just immature, I think Day has grown to be more mature in this case. Knowing that Mhok's future is more important and at stake here. He even asked his Mum if he did the right thing, and I think he did.
