I really wanted to like this, but it’s hard to take all the grief seriously when it’s just used to push the romance forward. Feels like the trauma is more of a shortcut than something they actually explore.
Throwing so much tragedy at the ML just to make the connection feel deeper?, but honestly ...it comes off kind of forced. Like the show wants us to feel something it hasn’t really earned yet. 😐
I think high school dramas can certainly seem to be aimed at 'the kids', but your tone comes off as very condescending…
My sarcasm was aimed at tropes, but someone took it as disrespect for culture 😀
I wasn't mocking beliefs—I was side-eyeing the usual romcom formula where deep stuff gets turned into quirky plot points. I respect culture, just not lazy writing.
Mystic rituals, teen drama, and fate. Basically, astrology meets after-school special. I know I m skipping....well that's just me being tired of cliches & romcom.Hope u all enjoy....it's a good show for the kids.
And this drama clearly tells you.....the difference between a typical normal romance dramas & these types.
one is what you enjoy...vs...one is what you feel in love with. other ongoing or completed romance/romcom dramas feels so useless in front of this masterpiece. This one set the bar so high for me that I won't look at other normal ones the same. They all will now feel cringe or typical to me.
“Turns out she wasn’t even in the Kitchen” is the best bar of the century, because RIGHT!! And in episode…
It felt like the writer wanted to show, “look, even women with pain can mess up, they’re human too.”Which is fair, but... if you’re making her the center of the story, at least give her some redemption or clarity.
It's like she wanted her to be deep and tragic, but she just ended up looking dumb and clueless. That's why most of us were like, “WTF is she doing?”
if ML went back at the end does that mean that the serial killer and the CEO are alive and well? Did ML return…
I had same questions when I finished this drama year ago.....looks like no discussion like this were happened on any platform ( or may be i didn't found one )
one of my question too was that " if ML knows the tragedies which are going to unfold in other's life .....will he do anything about it, if he does means death forced some huge responsibility on him ......if he does not, but then also he becomes partially responsible for their deaths bcoz now he will be bystander in their demise.
I don't generally hate on leads but she was the most frustrating FL of the year.... Like seriously, she pulled the classic “I’m going to break your heart because I have to do this alone” move, and we were all holding our breath thinking:
"Okay... maybe she's cooking something."
But nah, turns out she wasn’t even in the kitchen.
She married the enemy, ruined her bond with the only person who ever truly had her back, and then… what? She just existed? No infiltration plan, no secret files, no sabotage—not even a good slap! It’s like she walked into the lion’s den, dropped her weapons, and said, “I hope love and vague ideas of justice save me.”
And the WORST part? Dong-ju still cared for her after all that. Man deserves better. Honestly, it’s like the writers started writing a badass strategist then halfway through forgot her brain existed.
She could’ve been legendary. But instead… she's K-Drama darwin award 2025 winner.
i stopped watching this disaster since after episode 4...... just here to know how it's end, did the dumb writer made ML & FL to end up together or left any possibility of them getting together later in the future? or nothing like that happened....?

And for park bogum.....it's typecasting at this point.😖

so they made us wait 2 years just to give hardly 5 hours of content.??
