Yes he had high walls that is hard to break, high ego and should i say in denial (when it comes to liking fl) but if you ask me reading the novel luke and his thoughts was actually entertaining he wasn’t sanitized in the novel but somehow it felt more realistic imo. His character in the drama feels half baked to me.

Indeed. As someone who reads novel i can understand characters very well on the other hand some moments in the drama felt like happening out of nowhere… we didn’t even digest sun yuanzhu death because its super rushed. Plus the relationship in the novel can be described as “filty, disgusting” but drama does not so they didnt give justice to luke being crush to pieces like that. They also made flora’s character unbearable at times which is something i dont feel in the novel

I very much agree to this, im still not halfway through the novel but i can tell already how different it is from the drama. But personally i prefer what they did to drama considering it only has 24 episodes that short amount of time it not gonna give the novel justice at all.
