Do u remember the conversation they had about the anaconda from Amazon when our mc said you should go to Amazon…
Man, I almost died laughing. ๐ And I'm Brazilian, which made it even funnier to me.
As for the series not including that joke, I think it's probably because people are a lot more sensitive nowadays. Some would probably call it xenophobic or something. lol
The drama version got sidetracked by Sky's trauma. The plot seems moving slowly because they add lots of Sky's…
Sky's fear of cameras was never explained in the original manhwa, and honestly, I was completely fine with that. But what works in a comic doesn't always work on screen. In film and TV, there's a narrative principle called Chekhov's gun: if you draw the audience's attention to something important, they're naturally going to expect it to have an explanation or a payoff later. Otherwise, it can feel like an unresolved plot point rather than just an unexplained character trait.
I also think tying Phakin into that storyline makes sense because he's a photographer. It creates a natural connection between Sky's fear of cameras and another important character, so the change isn't just there to explain Sky's behaviorโit also strengthens the relationship between those two story elements.
I still can't believe I'm alive to see Payback become a TV series.
I've been reading the manhwa since it first came out, and it's been my all-time favorite ever since.
I remember thinking how amazing it would be to see it brought to the screen. And every time I reread it (which is... all the time ๐), I catch myself thinking, "OMG, I'm basically watching this masterpiece already."
Now it's actually happening, and it still doesn't feel real.
Oh man, I feel like I wasted one week of my life waiting for episode 3... I mean, I know we need context, specially with an universe like the omegaverse, but what a boring episode. Only worthy watching scene was when Pahtsa offered his hug to Nahkun :((.
Maybe I'm feeling like this cause I know omegaverse for more than a decade now, but dude...
I just found it hilarious that while their friends were locked up and about to be sacrificed in a ritual, Thup was like, โHehe, be my faenโ lol.
People should just shut up and enjoy
And don't underestimate people's ability to find a problem with everything. lol
