Honestly to each their own! I was considering to drop it but just continued to watch it out of boredom. I can say that it did get better as I watched it which is a plus!

I honestly like the character dynamic between Seo In Guk and Jisoo better. With Kangjoon (he played Eunho) everything was so smooth sailing and boring tbfh. The storyline between the 2 leads was perfect and showed good development

If I am being honest Seo In Guk is an amazing actor and you would know if you actually watched the dramas he starred in. Also in his drama his character was exactly how he portrayed it to be. Besides, I was able to immerse myself in this drama thanks to him as his acting made the story seem very realistic.

My thoughts exactly! I usually can deal with “lackluster” acting but here the difference was stark and I found it difficult to immerse myself in most of the scenes she appeared in. I sincerely hope she improves…

This is incredibly underrated! I can’t believe I haven’t heard anything about it when it was first released

Btw if you haven’t yet I would highly recommend you to watch The story of Park’s Marriage contract. It’s a saeguk/modern day drama and so damn underrated. I just found out about it recently and it so good

Honestly same. I ended up skipping most of her scenes and I only stay occasionally for the 2nd ML (for her scenes) if I’m being honest. She is only getting roles because of her face card. Pretty privilege

I agree with the second male lead comment but besides that this drama is quite literally not a gem. There are way better historical dramas where the leads have better chemistry with a better story line such as my dearest, alchemy of souls, tale of nokdu, the forbidden marriage, mr queen, knight flower, moon river.

This honestly amazing. However, Hong Suzu and her lack of expressions doesn't make her acting believable especially in that one crying scene in the first few episodes.

I do not know how people are praising this drama. The main leads have zero chemistry and the romance seems so forced between them. It is simply difficult for me to immerse myself in it when there is a lack of chemistry. The second male lead quite literally has more chemistry with the main FL and its not even much to begin with.
