was it ever explain why Chen Yi was on depression pills I got a prediction why but could be wrong

this show really shows how heart broken friends or a ex can be when left in the dark for so long about a friends illness

it was enjoyable until the second lead show up then it was meh so half way through 18 is probably where I just did not care a lot anymore

I feel like labeling this just a romance is to simple this is more about rescuing someone who feels he is absolute trash and willing to be a sacrifice to give someone a better life but my two cents

idk but I heard her character is a lot better in the novel

we have seen how quick Chen Yi will do things before her so I am not sure if something is getting lost in translation or what

did you watch it on viki the conversation was a bit better but still made it sound like she only choose him cause he was a loser is the way I took it

yea pretty much the conversation did not make him look good

idk even with better subtitles the way the ex boyfriend tries to label her relationship with Chen Yi in episode 30 felt a bit disrespectful to me

unless it’s being mistranslated still with viki subs

well those subs on viki are much better for episode 30 makes a lot more since now

yea from what I hear her character is a lot better in the novel and idk if this same plot point about him constantly hurting himself is in the novel or not

I did understand where the MJ was coming from about him destroying himself when protecting her I just feel it was not resolved all that great

episode 17 is probably the best episode of the series emotions are all over the place

no one really talked about it much the Chen Yi really suffer after MJ left even see the real reason why he sent her off although the cop friend was full of it 6 years claiming they were close to arrest him

so looks like we got more into the state of mind of why Chen Yi sent her away in such a harsh way

to be fair episode 30 might need a rewatch when better subs come out

boy I hope that talk in episode 30 with MJ and her ex was not translated right if it’s correct that is just awful

yea not really convinced she said that yet

yea and that particular scene is just like um ok nothing really revealed about it other than we know they were talking about something

from my understanding in the novel it’s a straight up Jealously scene both sides but they changed to a women about her kid did not want commit to the full blown Jealousy scene

I get where she was coming from with this but the problem with that is they both walked straight into ZB trap in episode 23 causing problems was his goal and he accomplished that for sure
