The best modern romantic comedy-drama I've watched so far this year!

I was pleasantly impressed by this drama; no filler moments and the pacing was quite fast, the plot is a bit cliched, but it was handled flawlessly. It mostly centers on the main leads' relationship, and the body-switching thing made this drama extremely hilarious and interesting. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling at every hilarious scene; it was a lot of fun. There are also several intense kissing scenes and confession scenes in this drama that was nicely done. I also love how the main characters' relationship grows over time; the body-switching brought them closer together, helped them understand each other, and allowed them to encounter a life they had never experienced before. They're both flawed, yet the way they're portrayed allows you to understand and empathize with their flaws.

One of the drama's main charms is the acting. Liang Jie surprised me with her outstanding performance. Her cool smirks, actions like sitting as if a guy and pissed-off facial expressions were all on point- she looks and acts exactly like Jiang Yi. For Steven Zhang, he embraced his role and delivered a perfect performance. I highly agree with what the Chinese netizens said; he truly deserves to win the award for best actress. The facial expressions, movements, and delivery of the lines he made as a girl were all flawless and somehow relatable. He has always been an amazing actor, but here he showed something that I believe a lot of young Chinese actors lack: versatility.

And in terms of chemistry, Steven Zhang and Liang had excellent chemistry. Everything appears to be natural. It would be great to see them collaborate on a project again.

Overall, this drama comes highly recommended and is worth seeing. A well-written drama with an excellent cast, acting, chemistry, and OST.

It's a 10/10 for me. ❤️

You Are My Hero is a MASTERPIECE that everyone should watch!

First of all, this drama was originally adapted from Mu Qing Yu's novel of the same name, which was released in 2012. "You Are My Hero" is indeed the best Chinese drama of 2021 (so far). It is an interesting, well-written heartwarming Chinese drama with an incredible and exceptional casts. The story was very unique, and refreshing, it's just perfect!
And to tell you frankly, first ten minutes of the episode 1 just completely blown me away, it's totally different from the other Chinese dramas I've watched, this one keeps me eagerly anticipating for the next episodes.

For the main characters, they are just spectacular! Bai Jing Ting as Captain Xing Ke Lei is a character that everyone will surely fall in love with. He's a humorous, charismatic, strong and cute (especially when he's being shy towards Dr. Mi Ka) special policeman. He just embraced the role and gave the audience such a genuine performance. Meanwhille, Sandra Ma's role as Dr. Mika is one of the best characters I've seen, she is a calm, caring, mentally strong, and independent doctor. She just nailed this role! I don't think Mika would be Mika if anyone else was in her place. This drama depicts two somewhat different career paths: that of a special policeman and that of a doctor. Each work comes with its own set of responsibilities and challenges. All of the episodes highlighted how strong their love for one another is. It almost felt like I'd never see another drama with a relationship as mature as theirs.

Speaking of chemistry, it's just WOW. Their chemistry was off the charts! A very natural and exceptional chemistry. It doesn't feel like you're watching a drama; instead, you're watching an actual couple interact. They have such an incredible chemistry that it doesn't feel like they're acting; instead, it feels like they're in a real relationship. I also love the second and third couple, their story is quite interesting as well. Kudos to the production team for choosing the right actors for this drama.

Every song was meticulously chosen and very soothing (already on-repeat on my playlist) There isn't a single song in the OST that I hate.

Overall, this drama was perfect in all aspects; the acting, storyline, characters, setting, OSTs and directing. I have no doubt that you would appreciate and love this drama as much as I did.

This is undoubtedly the best modern Chinese drama this year!

Everything about this drama was just perfect and addicting. This drama got me hooked from the beginning because it has a very unique, heartwarming, and realistic story. It was beautifully written, fascinating, and well-executed. It wasn't even sluggish or rushed in any way. This is the only drama this year that gives me goosebumps and too many butterflies! Su Nianqin and Sang Wuyan's love story is so beautiful and unforgettable; I love how they overcome different obstacles in life and never give up on one other until the end. This is unlike any other Chinese drama I've seen this year because it keeps me anticipating for the next episode, and every subject and scene adds to the drama's beauty; the umbrella scene under a privet tree, the little oranges, the braille couple watch, the subway scene, and Go pro scenes are just a few examples. All of it is something that you will always remember.
I also admire how this drama deals with real-life and societal issues, and sensitive subjects such as visual impairment, autism, paranoia, depression, family issues, life-altering decisions, and pursuing dreams. All of these elements have been cleverly incorporated into the show by the writer. ❤

Nowadays, when a normal person sees a blind person, he/she usually feels pity for him because they are unable to perceive the world and are thus handicapped. However, as seen in this drama, even blind people can live normally in society; it's only that they view things through their ears and nose. This drama gives us a message that "People with impairments don't want our sympathy; all they want is to be treated equally." ❤

In terms of acting abilities, Lin Yanjun and Wan Peng both nailed it! Wan Peng never disappoints with her acting performance; she consistently gives her best in all of her dramas. Her iconic facial expressions, switching of emotions, and ad-libs were always on point.
Her character as Sang Wuyan is one of the best characters I've seen in drama land. She's positive, cheerful, and too good to be true because she forgives and accepts everyone's inferiorities and imperfections. She's the type of character that can give everything just for love. I love her so much. And speaking of Lin Yanjun, he is such a big surprise! Who would have thought that this is his first-ever drama as the main lead? Like I've said before, he did such an impressive job as a newbie.
It's not simple to act blind, but this guy did an excellent job of capturing the feelings, expressions, and movements of a blind man. Wow, just wow! This man is going to be huge. ?

For chemistry, I've never felt so single until the perfect match "Su Nianqin and Sang Wuyan" couple came into my life. They acted so naturally like every move, dialogue, kiss, hug, and holding hands, were all in harmony. They are one of those rare couples that don't need any skinship or a lot of kisses to see the strong chemistry. I know most reasons why people can't easily let go of this drama is because of them. This is one of the toughest challenges I've encountered in my life as a cdrama fan, it's not easy to get out of this! I am now begging the drama directors and producers to cast them again in a drama. ?

I just wanna commend the cinematography in this drama. The switching and movements of the camera, and every detail of the shots, were just perfect. It feels like watching a classic movie. The OSTs were addicting and mesmerizing too. Every music was meticulously chosen and perfectly suited the scenes in which it was used. There isn't a single song in the OST that I hate. ❤

Overall, this drama is perfect in all aspects; the story, characters, acting, chemistry between the leads, music, and cinematography. This is the first time in my life that I had so much attachment to a drama. I guess it would take a lot of months before I finally move on.
So guys! Don't hesitate to watch this drama. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed. ❤

YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS MASTERPIECE!

???? ???????: ? ????? ??????

The plot was both unpredictable and breathtaking. It was very different from all the other modern Chinese dramas out there. I was actually under the impression that it would just be a fluffy romantic comedy drama between virtual idols and the main female leads, but I was entirely mistaken!

This drama was full of unexpected plot twists and thrilling adventures that will make you anticipate for the next episodes. It would just literally make you glued to your seat. Just wow! You'd expect it to go one way and then surprise you by throwing you in another direction. The most interesting part was when the two female leads started to awaken the longing of the four boys in the real world and encouraged them to live their own life and to experience freedom. Their strong love for each other became their driving force to overcome the obstacles.

I adored all of the key characters in this drama (Y4, two FLs, and Grandma Fushun); they were all so well-matched that I became devoted to them. No one stood out adversely in the cast's performance; they all did an outstanding job.

Overall, this isn't like the other typical dramas where the love story gets predictable, too cheesy, and boring in the end. It is also one of the few Chinese dramas out there with a truly gratifying ending. Director Yu Zhong Zhong and the production team did an outstanding job in making this masterpiece.

This is highly recommended and totally worth watching!

One of the best Chinese dramas this year with many life lessons.

A light, heartwarming drama with an interesting and unique storyline in a sense that I have not seen anything like it before. The concept of installing and replacing a real human heart with a mechanical heart in order to live like a normal person has piqued my interest for this drama.

Allen Ren did an excellent job portraying Gu Chuan, with his amazing facial expressions, from the way he smiles to his soft-husky voice, which made him even more attractive. Meanwhile, Xing Fei did justice to her role as Jiang Xiao Ning in her performance. Her acting was incredible, and the way she cried in each heartbreaking scene made me cry like a baby. So far, I believe this is her best and most challenging character. Speaking of their chemistry, they didn't need a kiss or any other clingy scenes to show it; it was simply "too good."

This drama taught us to look for the beauty and positivities in life despite of the bad lucks that we've been experiencing. It also
allows us to feel someone's dark life: how hard and painful it is to live a life constantly reminding oneself of a death. This drama proves that with love, there is nothing that we cannot do. No matter how hopeless and dark your life is, there will always be a person who can give a ray of sunshine in your life.

Overall, this drama was beautifully made and worth watching for many reasons.
