Didn't watch that many :) I just really don't like grown people getting scolded/treated like little children by their partners. I don't mind much if one partner is more assertive and other passive, but this too much for me

it is not my kind of show. It reminds me of those romantic novels that follow the same scheme -> the couple meets, one is alpha male type and the other one can't resist his charms, however mean the first one treats them. I hated the stereotype when it was man and woman, and I don't particularly like it when it is man/man either. It is the same reason I don't like Alpha/Omega stories. But I am in no way judging anyone who likes those type of stories :) I don't find it toxic either, because the "weaker" partner ultimately likes the more dominant partner.
