I feel like at the end of the double when they gave me that 5 min nonsense of ML and FL life to shut us up about the obvious sad ending

-So many unnecessary deaths.
- ML was weak from day 1. never got to see really a true return to form for him.
-Overcomplicating the villain to the point he doesn't make sense anymore.
-so emissaries or whatever tf won't show up even when that piece of steel about to be shattered? so what's their point?
-one of the weakest heaven armies I have seen in a xianxia. their lord or whatever dies and writers don't bother to even address the impact that has on them.
-Time travel used to save different versions of her friends (1 other version? what about the others? ).
-FL sect decimated with now someone with zero cultivation heading it.
-what about the rule of heavens vs mortals existance? so FL back to ignoring heaven's cruelty and now focused on only looking for ML for a ten of thousands of years?
-basically an ending with thousands questions that the writers prolly dont have answers for themselves.
Way to ruin a xianxia drama that really tried hard to break the tired genre codes .Maybe it tried too hard.

it would be a shit ending I agree. but producers love "shitty" endings . I dont know why he would talk about a twist in a happy ending if it's not going to suck

I think the ending will be that they will chose to live in an illusion world back with their son. it fits the happy ending with twist producer has in mind.

I would have prefered if they didn't give him the plot armor of being a sacrificial hero who protects his wife no matter what . it would have been more interesting not have a cop-out reason for FL to forgive him without needing to adress for too long the root issue of their conflict . which is ideology.

And I really do not understand the heaven emissionary role. let's assume he is biased towards the immortals and ML as FL pointed out , but he kinda shows up sometimes when FL for example killed a divine beast. but not when she took over the nine heavens, when she tried to resurect her son or when she founded her sect. for the time being I don't understand him or see some consistant logic.

OMG you are so right! it is quite refreshing. But with jiang bian I would admit that I like him. his little trantrums to his parents were kind of cute ngl. I am not sure I would have liked it if he were a female though because maybe we have too many spoiled females in cdramas and it would have just been another one of those. As for Long Yuan yeah he is just unlikeable lmao.
