Cuz for me personally I fall on the other end of the spectrum. unlike with jing, I don't see any romantic chemistry with the other actors. But that is to be expected as one is basically a pimp and the other is a domestic abuser. I think their relationship with the FL is still fascinating. just not mutually romantic . I am not a novel reader , knew nothing about the story or the characters before I started but fell in love with jing since the earlier episodes cuz i find his character quite refreshing and unique in dramaland (even compared to our dose MLs on the softer side). I put myself in your shoes and i admit it's quite the dilemma . I know for certain I wouldn't have have been tempted to continue the show if I knew XL is endgame for example. but since this show is much more than just yaojing, maybe you can enjoy other aspects of the show . outside of the romantic stories, i find this show has a lot to offer.
