Yup. How come the emperor didn't give her more maids? I just thought the show has limited budget for the actors to play the maid ;-) but not the case for HS's maids.

If we're not happy with any of the endings, will go to the fanfiction route🤣. I hope for HE. Don't need more angst but we're not the ones making the drama.

I also love Joy of Life as it focuses on Fan Xian's journey. It's hard to beat that. As others said, this has a lot of fillers and slower pace. This show focuses on the characters' journeys along with some court intrigues and some wars (episode 11-12 if I'm not mistaken). The romances are woven into it although they're not the main focus.

Depends on what you like. If you like romance then it really doesn't focus on that even later on. You can try to watch up to 12 or 14(I forget which one) and see if it's your cup of tea. It's slow with no big arch from the beginning unlike most shows.

Yes, she is. The lady who serves Zheliu are also great. Tilan should've gotten better help.

1. For SE, I guess Tilan, Emperor, and FJM died so only left poor Haishi taking care of Tilan's baby. So it's like the novel ending (Yes, Tilan lives in the novel but they've changed so much)

2. For HEBE, like what people said, FJM lives but can't be together with Haishi so similar as above. There's a picture floating around about FJM holding a baby, not sure if that's BTS or a real scene.

3. For HE, that baby is FangShi's baby and somehow miraculously all three couples live. I really doubt we'll have this ending with c-dramas trend but who knows.

Of course there are more possibilities.. All those trailers are misleading.
