This is what future modern romance cdramas should strive to be: - acting their own age and acting how a character should be in a thriller romance drama.. - well casted (ML and FL looks aestically pleasing and act their ages) - 2nd couple was great in their roles: chemistry, acting, and most of all they did not ruin the overall plot by taking unwanted screentime and did not feel like "leftover" characters but had some depth to them - episodes edited to around 45min each for total of 16 ep, leaving a well trimmed drama - some fluff is always good but too much it becomes filler - Teamwork makes the dreamwork! ML and FL as well as the 2nd couple work together to solve their problem - there won't be any moments where you are asking why did that character do that b/c the genrally have some some of reasoning for their actions - Complete solid Happy ending, so no open endding!
Hope to see more modern romance cdramas like this one. All of these points makes rewatachability very easy. Overall was great, yes its a cliche drama (due to nature of the story) but it was enjoyable. One of the few times, the score is pretty accurate to the quality of the drama.....
Yeah people wouldn't kidding the first half is a necessary sacrifice so we can understand the background of the story and Cha Moo Sik. Despite that, i enjoyed how it was easily digestable as a viewer.
I like how Son Suk Ku's character and his partner comradie relationship is going but I hope to see them more working together in the next season. Now onto s2!
This is one of those cringy dramas you watch on youtube from channels like cheezfilm. I understand the hustle for young actors, but somehow i skim this to see how bad it is 😒
Caught up to the latest, but I don't think the last episode will change how i feel about this drama.
Overall it is just a just below meh drama. It wasn't good, wasn't terrible but just not good mediocrity. Promising at the start and the concept, but kinda lost my interest with the dating show plot. Unfortunate this is just a drama where you watch once, and probably don't watch again because it wasn't memorable enough.
Originally watched this for my bias of the ML actor, since he was my 1st intro to k-dramas. Either way I'm just glad they didn't toss in the overused murder plot..
Finally finished this after a second attempt. Good story, romance was hard to cheer for when the FL doesn't know who she is truly with until some time. Glad how they ended, b/c ML's redemption and acceptance towards his actions was rough, so it is perfectly acceptable for how the ML ended up. Overall was good, but was over my head for my simple mind, if it wasn't for recaps..
First season was miles better. When you have a new season and introduce/replace characters you have a strong chance to mess up the synergy, and it happened.
Idk if it was intentional but I immediately guessed the 2nd half antagonist right away due to the weird framing of the camerawork and antagonist vibe he gives off. Even though I wasn't really following the story close enough since I had fast forwarded more than watched but a good mystery/thriller is best when you have multiple suspects. They took the "fun" out of guessing his identity.
Was good and continued for the first half, but imo after 1st antagonist was resolved the vibe wasn't really the same, and lost some interest. Honestly they should have made 1st season as 16 episodes so it didn't end on that cliffhanger.
Better than expected, but when you end the season with a cliffhanger like that, it must have sucked at that time since you gotta wait half a year for the next season. Sometimes it pays to wait even if unintentional..
Finally caught up, but glad ML finally got rid of that ridiculous hairstyle. It looked pretty bad especially when that hairstyle is usually for guys half the actual actor's age. Seeing the ML always reminded me of the meme, "How do you do, fellow kids"
If you are looking for romance, move on. If you want to watch something that is grounded and realistic, then start watching! Each episode offers a different case, and acts a guiding piece for the FL in her life.
There was a teeny tiny miniscule sprout of romance for our ML, but never manifested into anything other than an imagination. Typically when the FL is at a crossroad in their relationship, ML will typically act on this chance in progression with the FL (for most romance dramas). In this case, I applaud the writers in having the ML not take this chance and maintain a normal mentor-mentee relationship.

Lack of cliche writing was overall refreshing. So you can give this a watch!
Great charismatic acting, got the appearance for face and body to do masculine roles like gangsters and military. Hope to see him paired up with better FL's though to create synergy!

For romance side, FL's cracks in her relationship first start here. Obviously these little cracks will compound into eventual breakup, but I like how gradual it is and how theme/lessons from cases make the FL see the faults in her relationship allowing herself to grow as a person!
Only 4 episodes in but its strictly just mentor-mentee relationship, so I wonder how the romance is gonna be like (or is this a red herring b/c FL has a bf, so that means they have to break up at some point for romance to happen), but so far enjoying it. Came for the romance, but actually ended up watching each episode for the cases!
Overall I liked it! Only thing I'm actually miffed about is the ghost cop's ending. Unfortunate that it got a little draggy at the end, especially when the final episode was in its own week by itself.
