Wow, so he had already forced things way before the Gu family downfall, and then participated in it yet claims he loved his wife but couldn't stop the downfall nor did he try to avenge her family. I mean, even if she loved him at some point, it's very understandable why she would fall out of love with him. But now he believes he has a chance to stop her (SX) from marrying someone else? This prince needs therapyš
i can't help but feel irritated with most of the men's lack of social etiquette...besides jinwoo and hyuk joon,…
I think Hyuk joon began to consider other options not only because the other girls showed interest, but it was because of the disappointment he felt from Hyun Seo. He began to realize that the other girls are fun too because his expectations from Hyun Seo were not met, so he lowered his guard down. I bet that he wouldn't have wavered if he wasn't disappointed no matter how the 10 min date were good with the other girls.

And she would have been okay with that, rather than him saving her for his own agenda. I believe she would have been grateful if he had tried to avenge her family but instead it only ended with her being forced to marry someone she didn't love just because he saved her.
I think its the other way around, Xihe with Qingzhe memories intertwined with hers. First instance after drowning, she was relived when she saw her face In the mirror, if it was GQ she could have been startled instead seeing another persons face. Another instance is when she was praying at the temple i think, she basically said 'protect the northwest and my family', it doesn't make sense that GQ would say so given her whole family is dead, instead she could go with ' protect SX's family'.
I agree... I really hate how parents aren't supportive when their kid is suffering bullying. Like, it's your job…
It would be 3 against 1, who do you think they will believe without evidence? that lawyer would have to be passionate to even win because the other party can hire more and better lawyers , but worst is they can even buy the lawyer out. What you speak of is just ideal, the reality is usually a lot far from that.
I agree... I really hate how parents aren't supportive when their kid is suffering bullying. Like, it's your job…
It doesn't matter who believes, they can create a lie, and the worst part is even the other students who know about the bullying will still deny knowing anything about it in fear of expulsion or suspension. The cameras are a great evidence but they rarely capture sound, they can lie and say it was by accident that her food was thrown away, or they could delete the footage seeing at how the school board fears the bully's father.

I think it's more about how he himself being still clueless to parenting. He has been her only parent since she was a baby (i think), and for someone who was in his line of work, keeping a low profile was the only thing he believed was absolute protection for his daughter. She is a teenager now, but he is clueless about what teenagers even want at their age that he was surprised when his fellows told him she might even have a boyfriend by now. He is so concentrated in keeping a low profile that he forgot to learn about how to communicate with his daughter.
I can understand his stance and sympathize with his story but the moment he killed an honest officer for his motive…
They all kill indeed and innocents might die indirectly, but so far Prince Li has directly killed an honest officer while the others (ML&FL) have killed only those that really deserved as part of their revenge. If prince Li keeps on killing other innocent people just to fulfill his quest, then how is he different from the Empress Dowager. PS: I don't think there's anyone who believes the young emperor is innocent, it's just that he is not supporting his mother's influence (fulfills the statement, "enemy of my enemy")
1) How do we know when sheās having hallucinations? I can only tell when itās the maid that comes to her.…
1. Master Zhu (the one she claims kill the snakes and saved her) is part of her hallucinations too. We don't know if he is dead too, but it's very likely he is given the level of PTSD she is having. Maybe she watched everyone die and had to live alone in lishan academy + mountain for quite a long time before she was called for marriage.
2. I don't know about that, i don't think she is the maid unless this maid was with her 24/7 which is unlikely especially considering that in her childhood memories with prince Li they were mostly alone. Given how detailed she describes these memories, it's very unlikely she is the maid.
I totally get prince jing li POV..his obsession , him feeling devastated.. she finds fault with him for being…
I don't think FL's hate is just about the death of those 18, i think it's more of accumulation of other small stuff, like breaking off the engagement without explanation, but still tried to center himself as the victim after, using that and trying to force his way so FL can give him one more chance. The thing is, he isn't the only victim, FL and ML have suffered too and a whole lot in comparison. At this point, YL already accepted the path that prince Li chose yet he's still in her radar trying to commit suicide every now and then believing she still has a soft spot for him so she won't be abandon him. FL just wanted to cut him off completely from his delusions. matter of fact is he never even apologized about the 18 deaths, if she didn't bring it up, he was going to pretend that FL understood why he did what he did so need to even apologize.
Is it sealed off and everyone is dead but everyone in the kingdom is parroting lie that Lishan Academy still exists…
From the looks of it, those not related to Lishan academy don't know about the status of lishan academy as it was closed before the attack, they got ambushed from outside the academy so the QD side never went in to check how many died or survived, they only closed off the mountain to ensure no one leaves. The stories she is telling might have happened before or after the attack but no one on QD's side can confirm. One thing is certain though, by the time she went down the mountain for marriage, no one else at Lishan academy was alive and it seems she might have been alone for a long time that she began using her personal experiences to create memories that might seem were from a second party because she needed and missed their company. What i don't understand is, how did she get the arranged marriage news? From the way information is passed, there had to be a means of communication that would allow QD to know Yeli is still alive, unless she was the messenger who would always come down the mountain and receive any news.
the screenwriter should have done a better job. It looks like there are no one in the drama except the main characters.…
Okay, here are my answers to your comment based on my observation: -It was easy for the young emperor to trust FL because she chose to be involved even at the expense of her life when she could killed him for her future husband or just ran away to save herself (no one would stake her for it). -It seems that everyone in the palace already chose sides, those who were on the late emperors side were eradicated somehow, or changed sides that is why the late king was skeptical about FL's intention with saving the prince and asking for the grand princess title. -The eunuchs are also people who can switch sides. -Yah, it's strange not seeing the clan members of Xie family (but maybe they will show up later). But for the uncle, it seems he was away due to his "illness" for quite sometime, so it's understandable why they never met, considering that his uncle never saw his nephew as a threat.
All in all, i agree with you that a sloppy job was done as the scenes seem to involve barely 10 people.

The issue about SFL staying at his place can't really ruin his job, but can create a lot of gossip, which i believe is what he will try to avoid in the next episode.

She just wants SML, but the fact that both ML who still has a soft spot for her even after breaking up and SML who was kind to her, like the FL and are not afraid of expressing that despite the risk. So it's easy for her to hate the FL.
