broke that 11th ep curse, and also broke me. had to shift my therapy to an earlier schedule. i was supposed to skip the premiere for a project test, but decided to move it two hours head. i regretted having done it after i saw that last frame when they were standing in front of their gates, Pat crying.

Little do these people know that sometimes, the guys giver role gets reversed when he does have sex with another men. @Arigato_BL pointed out earlier that it's also a matter of how and where one gets pleasure. It is so great to hear these sex positive insights from people younger than me.

The fact that there were fans after episode 11 angry about the implication that a fictional character wasn't the 'top' they wanted him to be and going as far as saying it was out of character, makes me laugh. --- Even before they started filming, some fans of the book may have already had the stereotypical assumption of Pat & Pran's sexual roles. Which I think is a little off. I wouldn't blame these fans though as they may have limited knowledge that sexuality (including sexual roles) is fluid. Hence, they were upset that someone they have already put in his place has suddenly took a reroute, for both their pleasure. It didn't sit well with the fans.

I guess sometimes it all deoends on the level of closeness of the friends. And how the parties being asked take it.

I just wrote to someone privately about the 5-minute joke.

Because it's a television series, it seems like they were putting it out there for us to see. Which could really be embarrassing as it pointed out one's momentary inadequacy.

But, as it is, it was just the two of them in the room. Partners openly discussing their satisfaction or dissatisfaction in sex, between themselves, is also important in a growing relationship. Whether in jest or a proper sit down convo, it gives them an opportunity to bridge the gap for next time and compensate for the earlier shortcoming. And because we have established both of them missed each other for a year... it was going to be a long night. I guess Zoom did not work very well for PatPran. LOL

I know of a few groups of friends in my circle who do this. And claim they were only jokingly asking. WTF though. Even in jest, I wouldn't . Very invasive. And I value my personal space that much so I find it a little off. Not all relationships are sexual.

Robbins tend to lean more on slightly erotic tropes. I'm not sure if I still have the e-books. Will try to look for them and send them over. If I don't try to look for Goodbye, Janette and The Carpetbaggers - my classic favourites.

I also have a full Sidney Sheldon collection. I like them because they're mostly about women in power. Let me know if you wanna start reading Sheldon again.

Sexuality evolves over the years. Or maybe it has long evolved, but people were not totally open back then. Technology has helped educate a lot of people when it comes to fluidity.

That is also the "new cliché" that everyone is super sexualized. ---- Well said. It confuses me at times when someone introduces their partner to their circle of friends and theese friends' first question would be "have you done it?" I mean ffffffffkkkk!
