There are so few naturally good looking Chinese actors. My family is East Asian so I said even with the different ethnicities finding a natural good looking Chinese actor without enhancement is rare.

Allen Ren looks good, can act and has great diction and a good voice.


Don't watch it then. If you're the CEO of one of the big casting agencies in China, Taiwan and S Korea- then you can talk.

There has been so many deaths that I trust in good endings yet for this drama.

I am in the midst of The Demon Hunter's Romance and I saw that ep 3 and 4 is out.

So how is it? Not the plot. I mean is the male lead really psychotic or is he better? He was a psychopath in episode 1. Then he was definitely one in episode 2. We jail murderers these days. However even judges back in the olden days don't kill like he did. With such relish.

So how is he in ep 3 and 4? I am not even asking about any romance. I am watching to see how wild the writer would go.

I find it extremely funny and ironic. So Song Zu Er was 24 when this was filmed? The male lead is older.

So that's fairly common. She looks young, fresh but most of all she looks YOUNG. Skin can't lie.

So why do I have to keep watching people in their mid-30s play under 18 years old. Or even 14 years old? With definitely older and in their 30s male actors?

I am not even against their ages. Are fans going to tell me that talent trumps age? It actually doesn't. I had to suspend disbelief and it was jarring.

For this drama its the opposite. The female lead looks so young that the fine looking 34 year old at that time of filming looks so old next to her.

My rant today; not really a rant its more a vent is that why can't they cast age appropriate actresses?

I notice one of the supporting cast in this is the FL for Spring Burning. That will make her 29 in 2023. She was playing a college student in the just finished drama.

Man. I just want to enjoy and immersh myself in the plot. The casting should be acting and age appropriate casting.

I am now heading to ep 6. And when I am done since nothing else is on go back and rewatch Allen Ren's drama with Bai Lu. I am in love with his voice. Strong enough to not have the whispery no depth tone. Perfect diction. Expressive, extremely expressive voice acting

I didn't watch this series and don't intend to. I just watched ep 12 and need some relationship answers please.

Good lord you guys. I just watched ep 16.

That was one traumatising episode. I work in an industry where personal ethics is a must. I don't do short cuts and can't lie under oath.

This type of drama doesn't suit my personality.

Its so OTT and predictable but AJW being so staid and pretentious is boring. But he manages to carry it off.

I can't wait for him when he attempts to ask her out for a date.

That's what a weekend drama is all about.

Nice. I have quietly been in drama land dessert and tonight I start this and Once Upon a dream.

Spring burning and whatever was on was a bust.

I was thinking of all the other dramas where you have your grown up with girl or boy. Or the stepsiblings faux- incest and here we have not one but TWO brothers wanting to bed her.

At this point I am not even sure the midnight dreams were a dream. I normally would say its a dream in any other dramas but here...

I didn't even know I needed this drama till I finished ep 1.

Geez. I must be new at web dramas. What the heck did I just watch? The male lead is unhinged. Don't psychopaths start by tearing off butterfly wings? I do hope its a fake one.

I haven't laughed so hard in ages. The props team went nutso on the cherry blossoms. It was a blizzard.

Then the indoor fake flowers were the last straw. I haven't stopped laughing.

Now I've got to see what level of insanity is this. Even the pregnant maid made my brain spin.

The writer must have had fun writing this plot.

It still so pretentious after all this time. I am visiting S K again next year and trying to make myself instead so I will visit the bamboo forest. However I am still not interested enough. I'd go to Gangneung instead and visit that BTS bus stop.

I will literally rewatched this damn drama again just to get the Shin Jae story right.


I actually read sci fiction novels. Hundreds of them and if I can't make sense it means the actual basis or rules of the fiction has been badly thought out. Or rather not thought out well.

I watched it when it aired and rewatching it again. I still don't get it.

Can someone explain Kang Shin Jae's story and ending? I still don't get it. So the RoK KSJ is rich? And the Corea one because a policeman?

The FL never lived in Corea because Luna was alive? So the King never had children?

The director and writer's credentials are not reassuring. Good luck to him. I hope he also gets a solid 2nd male lead role in a great drama. Not these kooky plots. Both dramas have slightly unusual plots.

Well that was painful. Its done. I only finished it because of Kang Tae Oh. I liked him in the Extraordinarily drama.

Its quite obvious the writing has been painful to watch. Hope he has a better drama next time. Hope his agency picks a better project next time.

The 2nd couple was lame. The ex and his ex- wife was lame. The writer is terrible. The ending arc wasn't nice as well. It went to tacky at the end.

The acting is fine. The writing as in plot line is bad. The logic makes me barf and disrespects the female lead. If you don't mind these sort of lame and lazy writing full of cliches then watch it for the main male actor. He is fine here. His character though is useless and wooden.
