Im Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun are hitting it out of the ballpark.
These 2 are intense. I think the plot and writing is or per normal for a Kdrama but the absolute intensity and chemistry those 2 generate have elevated the drama scenes for me. I don't even care what will happen in the next 5 episodes. I will remember this drama just from their scenes alone. I don't even usually care about reincarnation or transmigration dramas that much.
Where have the actors been man? I know they are good actors but their chemistry is absolutely insane.
Did I miss what happened to the Grand Prince. It has TRAGEDY written all over it.
My poor heart the last few weekends. It will get more intense won't it?
Now let me go back and watch ep 8 and bits of episode 9 again. Cha Se Gye and Sin Seo Ri are insanely magnetic together. I really want kids in the last episode if its a happy ending.
When Destiny Brings the Demon, The Romance of Tiger and Rose, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy(kind of open ending?…
Ok thanks. I don't know half these dramas so will check it out one by one.
Oh dear its not good that I didn't finish any of the dramas which I did recognise. Maybe I shouldn't watch any rebirth dramas. I am happy to just watch the last episode.
I had to stop at ep 2. I checked the profile for the director and 2 writers.
I assume the clunky writing is from the original novel. Its pretentious, story- wise kind of arrogant.
Is the novel actually any good? I am deliberating because I recognise the actors and they are usually better than this. But the ponderous, arrogant conversations are not interesting. I am trying to ignore them dressing the FL in red and doing dumb things. I can even spot where the green screen parts are. The computer graphics scene in ep 1 was so lame. Its the writing and directing. The actors have always been fine.
The scene transitions are clunky and the director has no sense of dramatic timing. Those long, long stares and pauses are 2 or more seconds too long. The staring scenes are also too long.
I can't work out if its because its a low budget drama or why would the actors who can act accept this script. Is there a surprise coming up? The make up people literally threw or sprayed pink paint on the ML's neck all the way down his V shaped collar. I have rarely seen a fighter with hardly any blood on the face but managed to spray his neck dark pink. Its not even splatters. Its a full on spray of fake blood.
I am reading the episode synopsis on Netflix. What is the novel about?
I just watched ep 32 to 40 the lasg 2 days. I purposely waited till all the episodes were released on viki.
It wasn't bad at all. I had read the comment so knew what was happening. However the episodes flowed pretty seamlessly. This show was as good from ep 1 till ep 40 storywise.
I am satisfied. There were SO MANY comments about the 2ML. I am not a fan of Ye Xian from the beginning and I was honestly shocked I cried for him. His was an excellent ending. Great send off for a 2nd lead. Actually one of the best written scene for most historical dramas when they kill off people. I actually rated the drama higher because of it.
This has been an excellent watch from beginning to the end.
I finished it. I can't believe I am writing this but the director has some weird camera angles and close up for the ML. Its looking, looking too close and has managed to emphasise any facial asymmetry. Luckily he has great skin.
The FL is slim. She must be very, very slim and have a small face in real life. She is extremely attractive even by Korean beauty standards but she is waif- life slim on camera for the cameraman so must be very petite in real life.
Yeah that camera work and zoom in by the camera person was just in your face annoying. They even made Kim Bum old and unattractive. Was the filter too bright?
The thing is I was absolutely in love with the FL's voice the whole drama that's why I finished it. The writing has not been the best.
There was zero resolution to the 2ML family story. Where does he go in the future? The swanning off into the sunset/ or Inchon airport in this case was super lame.
I just returned from SK last month after buying all the usual cosmetics and Iaughed at the the product launch spiel. That's what I read when I was Googling what I buy.
I actually rewatched the beginning of ep 7 a few times for the acting and the comedy. Man the couple have insane chemistry. I laughed so much at the beginning. I don't recall watching him in any other drama before. When he mentioned his voice I nearly died. His inner monologue and secret smiles are just to die for.
Im Je Yeon just goes all out. I love Sin Seo Ri. She is so honest and looks after herself
I am on ep 5. I watched ep 30 to see how it ends. I liked it enough to start on episode 1.
I have come in expecting a slow burn but since I like the cast am happy being entertained.
So yeah I am not grumbling. Miles Wei is now my default male lead when I am in the mood for a romance.
However Zheng He Hui Zi is harder to get used to. I have probably rewatched the class reunion scene in Love like the galaxy about 50 times. I have probably reconciling her personality there and the mature adult here.
Xu Xiao Song and Liu Mao are so cute together. I also like the cocky and manipulative male lead. Their chemistry is just insane. I was laughing at the hospital scenes. I do like a sneaky hero. He is going through hoops pretending he is not interested. The friend is such a great wingman I forgot they even met for a blind date. When he called him the " the 1000 year old sly fox " I actually repeated it a few times. The actor really knows how to deliver the lines.
The push pull interactions right now are so amusing. Why rush into the romance so fast?
You are just narrow-minded. No offense, I'm just answering your first question
Well I didn't sugarcoat things.
There were obvious age gaps in other dramas. I also checked the ages of the potential couples. One is 10 years apart.
This is a situation where Netizens have commented about an idol's baby face but having a body of a beast.
The actors looked older than their age but their physique shows that they go to the gym. I recognise weights training work. However their usual roles in Kdramas are of a secondary characters but it doesn't require them to be so full on romantics. That's jarring and hilarious at the same time. Yoon Byung Hee is a wonderful actor but a love at first sight fool for love?
Ok, reconstructing the food scene seems to be my obsession now.
Putting aside the smell of cooking giving away your position and defeating the squad putting up camouflaged tents and face paint aside ok?
Did you guys know that the Korean soldier have heat activated packs to heat up their army meals? They also have packs where you just pour in hot water to rehydrate meals.
Just sayin'
I know this is based on a manhwa. This episode made me laugh. This is a situation where dark lighting is justified. You know how you watch other dramas where the leads are walking in the dark but there are obvious spotlights around? This episode really had dark forests and trails. I chuckled quite a bit because the actors will think tbis is just like reservist training.
The parody for the Kpop group was quite, quite funny. I didn’t realise their short army hairstyles could be slicked into Kpop idol hair. That Major is the only one who had the smooth moves. Isn't he a musical actor? The actors were just a tad more stiff. I went to one of the largest S Korean military festival less than 2 years ago and watched the ordinary soldiers doing their Kpop performances. No they were not anyone famous doing their National Service. They were really dancing well and confidently. Its just in their hands, their slides and their body movement.
I have been watching dramas with actors their age and older.
So why is it I am freaking out- ok slighly perturbed- when they are wearing showing shoulders and arms and having a romantic storyline?
Its like discovering your grandfather has a libido or something. Their arms and physique look young but didn't they look after their complexions because they were always playing secondary characters?

Man. Who did this casting?
Oh dear its not good that I didn't finish any of the dramas which I did recognise. Maybe I shouldn't watch any rebirth dramas. I am happy to just watch the last episode.
This is a reincarnation drama. Can someone name happy endings for reincarnation dramas?
Proper ending. Not the last 1 minute ending. Or an open ended ending.
Thank you.

I had zero expectations and didn't even like the actor.
This has been a seriously well written romance. A lot of wit and insane couple and ensemble cast chemistry.
A lot of experienced secondary characters which played the various cases.
However I am more shocked that there is such a well written drama. I cackcled at the extremely clever dialogues and perfect comic timing.
Thanks.
