Park Byung Eun is amazingly good at playing a psychopath. One of the coldest nut job villains I have seen in a KDrama. He deserves an award for this performance.
i wanted to know why the crown prince became such an evil evil spirit but the siblings that he killed didn't..the…
He became so evil because he was a murderer before he was poisoned and he was angry that his plans to become king were ruined. Kind of “If I can’t be king none of them can”. His siblings were just victims.
I had been looking forward to this. It had excellent acting, banging music score and an interesting story but an unsatisfying ending for the antagonists, too many scenes so dark it was hard to see what was happening and CGI that looked a bit cheap in places all spoiled what could have been much better. I would rate it a 7.
I’m loving this by the end of episode 2. Ji Sung as always is slaying it and I love the Shin Se Gi vibe I’m getting from the hair 😂. It’s a great cast all round actually and so far the story is engaging me. I’m really looking forward to the next episodes.
Just finished this and ended up giving it a 5. The first 10 episodes were fun, especially the husband selection segments but it went downhill after that. I don’t see why having a FL be strong and intelligent (which I do like), needs to turn all the men around her into whimps or evil villains. The ML went from a strong and righteous character to basically being FL’s lapdog that just followed her around pining for her while she turned cold like her grandma and ignored him for many episodes. The Scholar went from being virtuous and wise to being a wet rag agreeing to whatever 2nd FL wanted. I want equality for the sexes not this man hating crap.
I have a question before starting if anyone can help. I like strong and intelligent FL’s but I disliked ‘The Glory’ because FL strength came at the expense of making the men around her weak, whimpering and/or cowardly. The ML lead in that started really cool and then just became her lap dog following her around while she mostly ignored him in the second half. I also like to see a strong and intelligent male lead. Is this drama along the same lines with a ML who becomes weak? Thanks.
I agree and had no problem with people simply saying that they didn’t like it and why. What I took exception…
Malak There are too many posts to scroll back through but if you look for a review by a user called Izreal they put the same “Death to Koreans” stuff that I reported their post for. If you scroll down far enough there were disgusting comments from both sides of the argument and several deleted posts. It’s been crazy. 😔
I agree and had no problem with people simply saying that they didn’t like it and why. What I took exception to were the “Kill Koreans and the cast and crew” and “roast the infidels in their skins” etc.. comments that I had to report. Those are the people making things unpleasant on the forum.
I came from that 2 billion people. I think that selfcentered script came from ignorant people. Probably highly…
