One more theory I just read in the article comment section.
Jang Uk will have to kill Mudeok for season 1 finale, or Mudeok sacrificed herself instead in the place of Uk. Season 2 will start with Jang Uk's journey searching for the real Naksu (she somehow revived her body, is mysterious to find out).
