A Better Xianxia series than the majority of the of the Xianxia dramas

So far the story of FL and ML working together to gather all the missing parts of ML is really good. There were funny and serious parts within the series that fitted well. The actress and actor who played the leads were excellent. including the 2nd ML, he played his part well, there were times when the screen writer over-did his act and were trying to break the FL and ML apart, it was abit much.

The FL is hilarious and is not portrayed as a weak and dumb girl like most of FLs in these types of dramas. She has her own mind and personality. She speaks what she wants, and will obtain what she wants through thick or thin. The ML starts off as a cold being who wants nothing more than to just gather his missing body parts and take revenge on the one to put him in his dire state. At first he was ready to remove the Heart Protecting Scale forcefully from the FL. Later on he starts to warm up and you start to see his character change and relearns to love, trust, and understand the heart.

The only main issue that I have with the story was the ending and how the leads were able to defeat the antagonist. It was messy and had minor plot holes that were kind of left un-answer on how it came to be. It also felt rushed to, after defeating the villain. the ML was ab el to find the FL within 15 years ( that seems a bit year, now that the FL is supposedly 16 years old after being reincarnated). It would have been a perfect Xianxia if the screen writer and producer were able to write it more carful on overcoming the villain and if story is about personal greed or and dark temptation there is always a way to control it.

In all, I would say this is Xianxia dramas is much better than most Xianxia dramas where FL starts off weak, dumb, useless-looking and tries to their innocence to avoid trouble. Then later becomes all mighty for all the wrong reason and has to fight her friends or love ones. ML tends to be boastful and obnoxious with too much pride. Later on just stands there dumbfounded and unwilling to do anything for the FL which leads her to her demise and turn. Then the ML is forced to kill the FL for the "sake of humanity/ world(s)/ earth and heaven, etc., and is heart broken that he messed up and after hearing the truth many episodes later and tries to redeem himself for her.

Here in this series, FL is blunt but knows what she wants, the ML is starts from nothing and has to relearn and grows. Though sadly the conclusions is always their weak spot. They havent perfected on how to end a Xianxia drama without having dumb plot holes, and a very rushed ending to meet the limited episode numbers. In the end I still enjoyed this drama with all the funny, sad, and the serious moments within the drama. :)

C-drama another attempt into futuristic/ scientific genre

It had potential of being a good drama.

Its either limited time or the writer and producer couldnt figure a proper ending in tying the loose ends.
The production to the series seems like there wasnt enough effort in differentiating a bionic person and a real person. what was the reason for hatred between the two. Also is this euphemism between foreigners vs residents intermingling with each other. (maybe cause they make it in a way that real people were the superiors and the bionic people were the inferior...)

We see a bionic person raising a child better than a biological parent. Two bionic people falling in love and and out of love, and one ending the life of their counterpart. The man-hunt of illegal biotic peoples. (this part did not make any sense, as where did that come from???).
Where did these bionic people come from, at first the story makes it sound like they were made in a lab. They are then sold into the market as nannies, lovers, workers, etc.
The next they just happen to be there , and you can alter a bionic person's memory into thinking that they are a real person from the beginning.
Another issue was that, telling the difference between a real person vs. bionic person. As side from a little programing "magic" and their eyes turned white. Otherwise you really cant tell them apart. Really disappointing that they didnt put any effort in that part to make it obvious.
The whole series was just a incomplete and had too many stories with many plot holes and not alot of time to properly answer them.

I was hoping that they were able to answer as to why, where, what cause the rift between the two species. With soo few episodes to this drama. It doesnt make it a proper drama. They just jumble some stories together and left it like that.

Dont get me wrong, the acting between the two leads were fantastic. Them stepping out of their comfort zone, I give them props. I just felt unfortunate that they were given a half-written script and had to act and guess/ab-lib the rest to present this so-called "drama"

TWO WORDS FOR THIS SERIES: SIMP AND FOOD

thats literally the entire series was all about the ML is a literal simp for the FL and also twice his age for her. I dont understand the concept of caging and blocking the FL from ever training her "demon" abilities to avoid the calamities.
What these so called "Nianhua" sects are just literal hypocrites to that "traitors".


I literally had to skip all the scenes that involved the ML and FL cause they dont make any sense and have zero chemistry between them. It was all one day we should be together cause the script says so. It just makes my blood boil whenever I see them together.
The ML was just to be a SIMP/ predator towards to FL, and is written that he doesnt think before he acts. I think what goes in his head is "girl disciple lost = DESTORY ALL" (eye twitches). HOW IS HE THE SECT LEADER FOR A WELL-KNOWN SECT!!!

The only character that matter was the sect Uncle who literally died third of the way of the series (pure headache).

The FL is also written poorly, she's only there cause she is special with "demon blood" in her, and will ruin this world. Also they try to add this quirk that she likes to eat, and all she does is eat and beg to food shops to eat with all the male characters. Sadly she's only there to supposedly push the story forward (cause of her demon nature) and enjoy eating the food she never had when she was homeless.

I want to drop it soo bad, but I have to see how bad they end this series. This series is literal brain-dead story. These xianxia dramas lack story and character, and it just hurts my brain.

It was slow

It was drawing, and literally passed out watching the 3rd episode.
Not for me.

I think they were trying to be edgy, but sadly with all the censorships and limitations for these crime thriller dramas. It would never come into fruitarian. They can show tough but it has no teeth to it, just nibbling along the lines and backing away if it gets too close to the line.
Also each episode seemed slow and dragging of having the ML trying to get his revenge in the slowest way. All talk and barely any action to invoke fury.

I came to watch cause of Lay, and even he couldnt save this series for me to dropping this drama pretty early.
