Ratings do matter for future visitors no matter how old any series is. The reason I also didn't give it full 10 or maybe m a bit too lenient on my ratings cuz my ratings based on how much I enjoyed it throughout the eps. Just check out the jap version whenever you have time I hope that one would be different for you. k version had to fill extra 5 eps of plot nd some more changes so somethings were bound to be not as good as original

I can understand your frustration some parts were bound to be bit messy in end as they changed some plot key points from original series but still your rating I guess you rate diff than me nd I have watched the jap version too try it out it's 11 eps it has a more tightened plot nd the ending is more depressing than here it's in a way Romeo nd juliet type end but not exactly Romeo nd Juliet end
